Can't get back to the west after finishing the game (spoile)

As the topic says. The gates of Morning is razed and is not accessible.... bug or feature?

Well, I went back up to high peak and used the other portal which dumped me in the west

If you fail the Charred Scar run (the quest you get after completing an Orc Pride) then the Gates of Morning are destroyed.

Actually they aren't. You can still enter GoM if you go through the spider caves near GoM and use the portal there. At least you could in 1.1.5.
