Arcane combat does not proc as described

I've been trying out a few Arcane blades and noticed that even with maxed (5/5) arcane blade, saying it should proc at 60% times of melee attack (wielding only a long sword), it does not. I have 2/5 lightning and 2/5 flame (not on cooldown) yet spells only proc maybe once every 20 bump. Tried it out with a nice big room of mice... proced once for maybe 25 mobs.

Any ideas?

Is the basic melee attack killing the creature? If so, the engine won't bother triggering the spell as the creature is already dead. A better test would be against creatures that can take more than one hit, and don't count any killing hits in your totals.

ahh... I will try and get back with some updated statistics.

PS. If one only has one of the three spells, say earthen missiles, and not flame or lightning, would only earthen missiles trigger?

yeah it's like you said Marson, when the mobs live after hit, they do trigger correctly.

Correct. That's a popular choice, juggling points as you level so you only have EM, or having one of the other two for regular use and saving EM for procs.
