Character duped?

I'm playing an Oozemancer Thalore. I don't to my knowledge have any way to clone.

And yet I have 2 copies of my character on screen in the Ruined Dungeon. This happened right after being blinded and killing the second guardian. There's nothing but damage done reports up to the blindness in my character log.

It is acting like its registering me in two places rather than a clone. Turning on and of sustains triggers on both of them and the dupe tries to move whenever I do, but can't seem to move from that square. hmm, no, the dupe is trying to move to where I am, bouncing into the wall if there's one between us, or otherwise just moving on tile and being yanked back. In all cases it stays stuck on the same tile. Probably can ignore it and move on by digging around it but really weird.

It's the result of an odd bug. If you add my AWOL addon to your character's desc.lua file, you can use Ctrl-C to remove the clones.

It looks like it's somehow related to allies. I wasted multiple characters in a row in dwarven starter dungeon by running through stairs without killing anyone(to get lvlups) and when I returned from the town back to dungeon my ally(norgon was his name?) turned into my copy. Any damage I dealt to the copy was dealt to me as well, the copy was standing on the stairs and I found no means of moving it anywhere. Since it was the very beginning of my playthrough I just restarted but it happened very often when returned from the town back to the dungeon, although I'm not sure about the exact circumstances that cause this bug.

Its something to do with the oozes, but I haven't worked out how yet.
