New Class Suggestion: Druid

Actually it is a suggestion to improve the Summoner Class. But it doesn’t suit the theme anymore so it is called Druid

Theme:
A class which specializes in manipulating plants

Mechanics:
Plant Seed: For summoning / enhancing yourself / single target debuff. One thing that I don’t like about Summoner is that its mechanism encourages cheap tactics: Like summoning a Ritch to scout ahead and kill things without me actually seeing the enemies, or Frantic Summon a group of monsters when I see something tough. For Druid you need to see an enemy to plant the seed, or fix your summon in a certain location. The summons also take 2 turns to grow so you need to do something before the summons take effect, instead just summoning stuff, then sit back and relax thereafter. The summons also takes a more utility role.

Enhanced melee and spell casting: Give Summoner something to do instead of just sitting there after summoning.

Talents:

Summons
Wood Puppet (active): Shoot a seed to your target. Takes 2 turns to grow and inflict nature damage over time. After 2 turns a range 1 explosion is caused and a Wood Puppet appears adjacent to your target. The Wood Puppet inherits 1-3 sustains (if any) from learns x skills from your target. You can cast this to yourself. Lasts for n turns.

Venus Weed (active): You shoot a seed to the ground, after 2 turns it grows into a plant that sings. Causes x mind damage and draws enemies to it in range y for n turns. Growing this onto targets turns it into a mental effect while keeping its effect intact, also lower your target’s saves(if target at enemies) or drains equilibrium from you(if target at you). Friendly fire.

Vampiric Weed (active): You shoot a seed to the ground, after 2 turns it grows into a plant that attack x random enemies and drains x% of the life point in range x. If you stand in its range it will distribute 50% of drained life to you. Growing this onto targets turns it into a mental effect while keeping its effect intact, also drains life point from enemies(if target at enemies) or drains equilibrium from you(if target at you). If it is planted on an enemy but have no target to attack, the plant will go crazy then wilt, inflict x physical and nature damage and cripple. Will not target friendly creatures.

Tree of Silence (active): You shoot a seed to the ground, after 2 turns it grows into a plant. Those standing in its range are silenced for 1 turn(apply continually). While it lasts it decrease your equilibrium by x per enemy in range. Growing this onto target increase the turns it lasts. If it is planted on an enemy but fails its Silence check, it would wilt and cause manaburn damage, also make your target has x% chance to fail their spells for x turns.

Plant Manipulation

Shoot Seeds Mastery (passive): Increase the speed (takes 50%-30% of a turn) and the accuracy of shooting seeds. Grant you an additional talent called Frantic Planting(active) which cause Summons takes no cooldown for 1 turn

Absorb (active): Absorb your summons and lowers your equilibrium
Wood Puppets: Inherit the Wood Puppet’s sustains and learn its talents. If the Wood Puppet was sprouted from you, you increase your talent level by 1-3
Venus Weed: Increases mental save for x turns and cures a detrimental mental effect
Vampiric Weed: Heals you and cures a detrimental physical effect
Tree of Silence: For x turns, those standing adjacent to you have x% chance to fail their spells, also cures a detrimental magical effect

(???)x2 I originally planned a Detonate but there are already some instant AOE so I don’t think it is necessary

Seeds for self-enhance

Vine Wrap (sustain): Plant vine seeds on you. Increase armour, armour hardiness, stun resistance and knockback resistance

Projectile Sucking Plant(sustain): x% chance to suck projectile which hit you, heals you and lower your equilibrium, y% chance to mistake an incoming melee attack as projectile and gnaws at it, stopping the melee attack.

Mental and Magical Attack Sucking Plant(sustain): x% chance to suck a magical or mental attack, heals you and lower your equilibrium.

Poppy(sustain): Increase global speed but drains life

Spells
Mandrake (active): Summon Mandrake in range x. AOE which cause mind damage and confuses enemies in range y.

Vine Grab (active): Summon a vine which grabs you to its location, equivalent to Dimensional Step

Entangle (active): AOE which centers on you. Cause x physical damage and x nature damage, pin enemies in range y

Vine Whip
Vine Whip(Passive): A variant of Psiblade. Sprout Vine Whip from your mindstars. Bump attack have range 4 and ignore obstacles

Whiplash(Active): Death Dance with range 2 and knockback.

Vine Grab (Active): Grab an enemy in range x and release it in the same range. Inflicts physical and nature damage

Vine Fist: Wrap your Vine Whip around your fist and land a series of blows. Inflict physical and nature damage. Equivalent to Flurry
