Achieving Cryomancer

Any suggestions? I looked at the top 3 classes for ice damage (archmage, necro, wyrmic) and none look like it's going to be a pleasant task getting to 1M cold damage. I was hoping alchemist with frost infused bombs would rack up cold damage, but after checking the achievement screen before and after a bomb, it doesn't appear to count (bug or feature?)

There is a bug associated with Cryomancer (and Pyromancer respectively) that makes it so that if you finish off an enemy with the attack - the damge that would have been done to the enemy isn't counted toward the achievment. Sadly, when it come to cold damage, it comes in the form of a nuke; resulting in most cold based attacks killing your enemy.

You could also try a Necromancer investing in the Ice trees. Can't remember the name(s). Grave and... Something? It is a bit of a long haul, though.

I unlocked both pyro and cryo in one Alchemist run with tons of damage to spare.

I'll shamelessly plug my addon here for Necromancer, as it makes cold damage a viable path if you do a Grave/Reaping/Meta build. Otherwise I think Alchemist with cold bombs is best.

How I did it: I wore ring of elemental fury (the artifact) as an archmage and used tri-beam (flame, lightning, aether beam) to handle most fights.
