When you come down to it, you can probably blame a very sizable portion of Maj'eyal's problems on the Halflings.

In most fantasy works, it seems to be humans, so I'm not complaining.Danton wrote:When you come down to it, you can probably blame a very sizable portion of Maj'eyal's problems on the Halflings.

They do have quite a bad record, though... No enough to make the Orcs saintly, but still pretty bad.

On Normal I usually kill both for the experience. On other difficulties I tend to hit level 50 before the end so I skip unnecessary zones, so I only do it if I want Legacy of the Naloren or the Eldritch Pearl.
My wiki page, which contains a guide and resource compilation and class tier list.

I've only done that zone once, while I was desperately trying to find a certain quest item. I tend to agree with grobblewobble about the uncomfortable ambiguity of the situation, so I doubt I'll be doing it again.

There's nothing ambiguous at all.
Dragon = Bad Sher'Tul Servant.
Slasul = Neutral Nonpartisan Naloren.
I fail to see the decision, outside of certain shiny-shiny-ball considerations.

Re: Who do you side with in the undersea wars?
My first character to get there inadvertently sided with Slasul mainly due to how Dragon What's-His-Name reacts if you try to talk to him again after speaking to Slasul. Seeing how he just about EXPLODES and attacks you and you have to grovel to get him to stop.... Yeah, not gonna take it. So it was less "who is in the right" and more just circumstance. I probably would have left them both alone if it weren't for that.
Second character killed Slasul mainly to see what the other ending was like. I don't remember what the lore he drops says exactly, but I think it detailed some devious plot of some sort?
Quest too confusing...

And you can blame essentially ALL of them on people using Sher'tul magitech they don't understand. To the best of my knowledge precisely two people since the Sher'tul have used Sher'tul stuff in any way more complicated than bring activation device to portal without it backfiring. Linnael when she turbocharged herself in the backstory (and that ALMOST backfired) and the PC with the fortress - and the PC has a manual in the fortress butler.Danton wrote:When you come down to it, you can probably blame a very sizable portion of Maj'eyal's problems on the Halflings.

To be fair, if the butler would let me, I'd use it to take over the world!pheonix89 wrote:and the PC with the fortress

I'd want to take it over either way, but that's just me. Sher'Tul magitech present or not.Marson wrote:To be fair, if the butler would let me, I'd use it to take over the world!pheonix89 wrote:and the PC with the fortress

If anyone is feeling really ambitious for the [url=http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=40356//url]Quest contest[url] then they should consider an option regarding the Fortress. I know at least one person in favor...

Fix'd your link. Also, there's some unfinished material in-game to work with on that part. Look up the fortress quest file, and something called an ancient storm sapphire, or something like that.The Revanchist wrote:I'd want to take it over either way, but that's just me. See, anybody that wants to has something in-game to work with. This is clearly a sign that someone should.Crim, The Red Thunderer wrote:Also, there's some unfinished material in-game to work with on that part.
