The Splitting Challenge

This addon allows every single unit in the game, besides the player, to clone themselves.

Once an Actor sees the player for a certain amount of turns (configurable, defaults to 5), they will clone themselves.

These clones give heavily reduced exp (but still give some!), have 50% of their source's max life, and deal 30% less damage.

These clones are limited to a cap (configurable, defaults to 5).

Includes a Damage Shearing option, which causes any clones that die to damage the source clone by 1% of their max health.

Heavily recommend you pick up http://te4.org/games/addons/tome/marson-awol to help stop any cloning bugs that may result from the sheer number of cloning.

I tried this out as a Thalore Cursed. And I decided it would be funny to let a slime get a few friends.

I was wrong. :)

Then I tried an Archmage. And the boss split. And his copy had full health. And then one of them split again. A level 2 Archmage, at low health, cornered by three Destabilizations in the Abashed Expanse was... Predictable. :)

With regard to the slime, though (or was it an ooze?) I received experience for each kill. Was that intentional?

For exp:
A clone is worth 10% of the original.
A clone of a clone is worth 1% of the original.
A clone of a clone of a clone is worth 0.1% of the original.
A clone of a clone of a clone of a clone is worth 0.01% of the original.

I'll limit the clone's health in some way, because... as hilarious as that is, I think thats a bit unfair for even this addon's standards.

Added giant bolded red letters to signify the lag if you let them clone out of control.

I get a bug on attempting to check my golem's clone's talents. combat-training.lua:45: Attempt to index a nil value.

Also it's naked.

But hey there's like 10 of them now

Oh, and freezing one of them with an ice bomb causes them to target each other.... meaning they clone infinitely. And then you kill them for EXP!

Do they level up independently, though? Because if they don't level up with you, they'll be progressively less useful, won't they? :(

Also, anyone else think it's cruel to farm their own Golem? :)

This has an amazing and buggy reaction to the Arena quest. every time you kill an arcane blade/clone of arcane blade, you get two generics because it counts as you completing the quest again and again.

Currently running a megaturle oozemancer. The experience reduction isn't working due to another mod I have which is good since it means that instead of getting stuck on my first enemy I killed enough of the clones to reach level 4 and get acid splash which is letting me kill them faster than they spawn.
Edit: Just did the arena. It wound up with me retreating due to being unable to dent the horde due to each of the fighters killed spawning in an arcane blade. When I went back to Derth all of the villagers had despawned for some reason. That may have been due to me hitting level 15 in the fight though.

V 2.0 - Moderate Performance Improvements

Now have to see the player, and not simply have a hostile target.
Properly fixed the damage reduction debuff.
Moderate speed improving changes.
