lua error

So i was steamrolling through gorbat pride 3 (or 2?) and when autoexplore got me to the room with the next stairs, where a bunch of those red drakes (or wyrms?) with hatchlings were waiting for me.

Next thing i do i hit the acid infusion, since those red dragons have fire imunity so on their turn game crashes, giving me a lua error message which i send to darkgod of course. Now when i try to load the last save, it loads fine, but my character can't move. Golem can, PC can't.

It saddened me deeply, since this was the first char i managed to get that far, only died twice, once instagibbed by an orc assasin while autoexploring and the second to the shade in the tannen quest. All my previous ones died horribly before reaching lvl 15.), with the exception of a summoner, who died to a chest boss in sandworm lair after killing the main boss in the area.

Is there anything i can do to make it work?

I'm by no means the expert, but I think bugged characters typically mean restart.
