Tome under Windows 7 - video problem

#1 Post by preston »

Hi,

I have been running my ACER ASPiRE AM1100-E1402A under Vista with very little problem. The desktop has an integrated ATI RADEON x1250 controller

Last week I upgraded to Windows 7 x64. And now I can not play TOME. When I start TOME the first screen comes up beautifully and the progress line on the bottom speeds across to about 78% and then stops. If I click on the frozen screen I get the spinning circle and eventually a white rectangle somewhat smaller than the screen. In a dozen or so attempts to run the Game I had to kill it from task manager.

The video driver on the 'puter is AMD 7.14.10.0018

All other programs running at the time are not affected so I assume it is a TOME vs video problem.

Help please.

Preston :(

Have you tried reinstalling ToME?

I have Win7 and Radeon HD8600 in my netbook and the game works fine. Can't recall which drivers I have, as the CCC (Catalyst Control Center) stopped working sometime ago and I'm scared of messing sth up by trying to update.
