Some toolbar and 'auto-action' suggestions

#1 Post by killter »

There are two things I would love to be able to do with the auto-action functionality.

1) An easy way to toggle my auto-actions on and off. I have 4-5 auto-actions set at any given time (Block, Shield Pummel, Assault, Greater Weapon Focus, and possibly Rune of Reflection).

However, if I see a rare or boss, or need to use a movement infusion or Step Up, I need to click into Block/Pummel/Assault, turn them all off, then eventually all back on again.

I'd love a way to toggle the mode on/off.

2) Closely related to that, it would be absolutely incredible if I could have auto-actions 'toggle off' if a rare/boss is seen. Nothing like automatically getting into a multi-turn engagment with an OP boss by accident. I realize this is a risky side effect I actively accept by putting them on in the first place -- but the point of these auto-actions is to make the interface better, not to add risk to the game. Just like auto-explore stops on sight of any enemy, it would be nice to not auto-attack a boss (minions are fine).

TOOL BAR suggestions

1) I would love it if icons set to 'auto' were marked in some way. A checkmark, a red dot, I don't care. Just let me visually see them, because certain actions (like changing a shield) turn them off.

2) Possibly color code the icons for different types? Like, for example, many charms put all charms on cool down. So why not have all charms be... green, or blue, or something. Someway to easily tell what other actions you're about to put out of action.

3) Put an X, or some other easily identifiable marker, on options that aren't equipped. For example, I often set up things like an unequipped wand of detection on my toolbar. This should have some sort of indication that it's not actively equipped, since clicking on it takes a turn and could unequip something important. While it's not immediately evident why this would be important for a sensing wand (since you'd only use that if you're alone), it would be extremely relevant for other equipment actions. For example, you took off that Bladed helmet hours ago, but the icon is still there. You're in a pinch, so you click it hoping to confuse the baddie... and instead, you take off your current helmet, put on the crappy one you forgot you didn't have on, and die. A simple visual indicator that the equipment isn't currently equipped would be wonderful.
