changing the font?

I just got the game and am character creation. I notice that some of the menus (particularly the Halfling) cut off the text when it runs out of room in the window. Is this because my display settings are off or something? How can I fix it? Thanks.

I've never experimented with different fonts yet, but if the text runs out of room in the window, you can scroll through it.

I don't think it's because you have some bizarre display settings. Unless we both do.
