Why imbued items cannot be put in item vault??

#1 Post by ghklfghklf »

I cannot find any information that mentions the imbued items cannnot be put in item vault.

Or there are any other limits of item vault?

Anything that alters your items makes them unvaultable, to prevent "scumming" by having a high level char in the fortress that can enchant items and put them back in for others :)

But you should let us know....the Imbue Item talent and item vault do not tell me anything about this.

You can set the rules, but plz let us know the rules.

Thank you.

You also cannot put cursed items (as happens with the Cursed/Cursed aura generic line) into the item vault.

Not being able to vault imbued/reshaped gear is fine and cool, but having it unavailable on cursed items just hurts. I got a ring with 50% stun immunity, 15% physical resist penetration and Greater Weapon Focus as an activated power, but on a Doomed with a category point in Cursed Aura so it's stuck on a character that has no use for it.

That's a very good reason for reshaped and imbued items to be kept out of the vault, but why cursed items as well? A character without Cursed Aura will only get penalties from using those, so I think the vault should simply display a warning when storing a cursed item or retrieving something with a cursed character. That would make the most sense flavor-wise. You can have your Doomed wear that jaunty hat for a while, but by doing so it will forever be tainted for your future characters.
