Cornac started without a free category point

I didn't even notice it till lvl 7 or so, my cornac rogue have 3 starting inscriptions slots, no new trees unlocked (I waited for poisons) and 0 category points. And yes, it's a cornac, not a higher/

Also on top of that I cannot joing in-game chat in the client.

Did you accidentally use your spare cat point to buff up a category?
