As I'm posting this I have just beaten Vor Pride.

So after being sorely disappointed with how boring summoners can be, I decided to make a magic based summoner, gotta say it's quite fun. I went shalore for the second racial for criticals as I wasn't going to invest in cunning. Until level 10 this build played like a standard summoner, at level 10 used first cat point to unlock Light tree. As soon as I had 500 gold I went and picked up staff training so I could blast things from behind my summons, at this point my magic is about 28. After I had 5/5 in Drake I stopped investing heavily into wil and instead went into magic. I pretty much stacked fire damage entire game as it was my major hitter. Next cat point went into an inscription slot after dieing to confusion effect in Dreadfell. Master went down no problem after that. First prodigy was Blighted Summoning. A few notes about this prodigy, it greatly extends the summoner's toolkit. Rimebark becomes useful once it gains poison storm, turtle becomes useful just for curse of impotence, etc... But the summons don't use these effectively, mainly because setting weights to 0 in the tactical screen fails to turn off talent usage. It is also at this point in the game that my channel staff starts hitting for about 500 on crits, meaning I was running around blasting things more than I was summoning. I also got really lucky with drops on this character, 70% resist and 30% affinity for fire is just one example(Charred Scar will probably be a joke).

Are those stats on the character oage for the summoned creature accurate??? Looks like it makes Rage a bit pointless.
Resilience looks like it could do with a buff.
I'm surprised you hadn't put more points in Bathe in Light.

I put points into rage because I had so many class points to spend and nowhere to put em, this was a generic strapped build.
I avoided putting points into bathe in light because I didn't want to make this a build supporting the summons. I think of my summons as disposable meat shields. I should have totally unlocked my reward from Grand Corruptor though(Yes I sided with him ).

Just picked up Cauterize as well and it's saved my skin a few times now. In the process of going through High Peak.

This is the one we talked about ingame, right? That's just absolutely horrendous idea of a character. Amazed that you could get it to work. You could try Linaniil next. I'd say with fire res/affinity you have better chances than most to beat her.

Yep this was the monstrosity I was telling you about. If you think this is bad wait till you see my future Staff Zerker .

Also what is the best way of beating Linaniil, teleporting about outside her LOS?

When I did her (the first 4-5 lives that is) I stayed rather far from her doing AoE fire on her, inferno and stuff. Most her spells did fire damage so I didn't take full damage.

Alright will give her a try, should I aggro the other mages first so I don't have nasty surprises?
