Special patches of land.

#1 Post by anp »

Hey!
I don't know how exactly they're called - I mean those things which exist on kinda each level - Font of Life, Whistling Vortex, Antimagic Bush (can't recall others). Now that I played ToME for like 100 hours, I used them as my strategic chance just TWICE, and both it was the Font of Life at the Trollmire when I was under 10 level and needed some regen.
There're usually just 1-2 of them per level and sometimes even there's none, so it's barely worth to go to the closest and use its strategic properties.
I suggest to 'buff' them in these ways:
- randomize their properties: e.g. Font of Life regen can vary;
- add the pure negative ones: so they work like debuff on you so that you better leave them even before fighting monsters;
- multiply either their area or their number (I like the number more): for example, about 10 such zones would be worthy to even use them.
- your suggestions???

Suming up, the special patches of the ground do have potential to become one more layer of awesomeness while playing, but by now they're kinda raw :)
Please, tell me what you think about this.

P.S. Just realized that it supposed to be in "Suggestions"

Would like to help but there's no Suggestions forum.
Stronk is a potent combatant with a terrifying appearance.
