Re: Recommended Order of Zones
Orcs have a racial passive (Skirmisher) that gives them resist penetration for all forms of damage, so resistance is less useful than you'd think in the East. Shield-users might want some token resistance on their shields so they can block elemental damage, and it's certainly helpful against demons, dragons, and undead, but I wouldn't say it's the deciding factor.
Re: Recommended Order of Zones
From my experience, fire resistance make a lot of difference in Vor Armory, and especially when fighting Vor Pride boss.

Sorry for the thread necromancy. Can you tell me what you mean by this?tylor wrote: As for Prides, do "your" type of Pride last, so you are more likely to have high-level artefacts for your class dropped.
Thanks.
Re: Recommended Order of Zones
They mean the one that matches your class.
But really, its not going to make that much of a difference.

Re: Recommended Order of Zones
Also, when do Mark of the Spellblaze and Hidden Compound fit in?
Re: Recommended Order of Zones
Hidden Compound is usually rather easy. I often skip it entirely but if I do it I do it around lv 17 or so.
Spellblaze is a tough one. Usually, if I bother to do it, I breeze through it around lv35 after returning from east. If you really want to do it early I'd save it for after Dreadfell.

Stronk is a potent combatant with a terrifying appearance.
Re: Recommended Order of Zones
Spellblaze is about Celia difficulty.
eg. 20 something.

Um, guys, where is the Fortress mentioned in the list? Can't find it on the map. :/

Under the lake.

Re: Recommended Order of Zones
This game was so much harder for me at first -- I was using the quest mission as a 'guide' to mission order, so I was doing:
Trollmire (starting position), including secondary boss
Ruis of Kor'Pul (next door)
The Maze
Sandworm Lair
Old Forest / Lake Nur (all)
and getting whooped by the Wierdling.
I was avoiding all the other stuff thinking i'd eventually get quests to go there. When I finally managed the above, and started 'exploring', i was surprised all the dungeons i was avoiding due to thinking they were later missions were all 'You're so powerful you get to skip to the last level!"

Re: Recommended Order of Zones
I am a completionist so i never skip any dungeons.
I might say that i disagree about Melinda sacrifice. It is a difficult area, for sure, but on my current summoner run, i got 2 artifacts as random drops on the second floor. Still have to go to next floors, but it is good enough imo.
Even if those artifacts proved to be useless for my char, it still thins the pool and gives me more chances to find something useful later.
Edit: down to dark crypt (4) and have found 2 more artifacts already. Aura of silence helps a lot in this dungeon

Re: Recommended Order of Zones
Nice guide, cheers.
After searching for those mysterious pits for ages I did a forum search and finally found out they have been removed. Too bad.jenx wrote:3. Orc Breeding Pits can be done as soon as it is found on the map, as can Flooded Cave, so I've put them first in the East after Tannen's Tower, but one can't always find them easily.
Re: Recommended Order of Zones
There's a mod to put them back in, if you want to.
