I'm a new player, playing Alchemist. Went accidentainly in front of my golem into the boss fight, in the crypt near the starting town. Ended up being frozen, and at around 10% of my HP. I could not run, and wanted to teleport, but noticed that my teleport rune had become disabled. Ended up dying while my golem pummeled the Boss to dirt.
Why did my teleport rune get disabled?

Teleporting is disabled if you are frozen. Were you still frozen when trying to teleport?
Re: Teleport rune disabled in boss fight?
Frozen is a physical effect. I lost dozen of character thinking it was a spell. So you can just get rid of it with your starting physical infusion:wild.
Re: Teleport rune disabled in boss fight?
Might very well have bene frozen when I wanted to TP. Alas, I didn't have Physical Wild equipped at the time...

Rule #1: Don't get rid of that wild infusion in favor of some other type. Only replace it with better wild infusions.
When I realized that I stopped dying at lv20ish and started winning. I've even had characters with whom I've replaced that default wild infusion right before the final fight.

Stronk is a potent combatant with a terrifying appearance.

Building on this, if Runes are your thing then the Heat Beam Rune is an Alternative - useful if you don't care about the damage reduction from Wild Infusions or the problems associated with inscribing a Rune.Faeryan wrote:Rule #1: Don't get rid of that wild infusion in favor of some other type. Edit:
One could also drop a note about Racial talents like Timeless from Shaloran or the Indomitable Will From Halflings too.
