Blood of Life
How exactly does this artifact work? I'm to have my life saved at some point (I'm playing on Roguelike mode), so please reply with instructions! Or maybe an opinion on whether this artifact is fair or not. I'm thinking not.

Re: Blood of Life
Use it ASAP. Once you drink it, you'll have the option to use the blood within yourself to resurrect next time you die. It gives you full health and resources, but turns off all your buffs and doesn't reset the cooldowns, so don't get too confident...
Re: Blood of Life
You drink it to get it into your system. Afterward, if you get killed (and aren't an undead race), you get resurrected once.

I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH.Marson wrote:(and aren't an undead race)
Do not be 'counted as undead' when you drink it. There are certain artifacts/egos that say 'the wearer is treated as undead'. If you are wearing one of these when you DRINK, there will be a different message, and you don't get the revival chance. If you drink it normally, and THEN become 'undead' through equipment and die, it'll still work fine. You just have to make sure not to be wearing one of these pieces of equipment when you drink it. (Offhand, the only ones I know of are belts of undeath.)

And lanterns. Belts and lanterns seem to be the random ones.
And random ones are the ones you'll forget.

Didn't want to start a new thread, so I'll ask my question here (kinda related) - how does the Potion on Invulnerability which one get from the Brotherhood of alchemists quest works? Should I drink it asap and then the icon will show up or just drink when I need to be safe? And if so, is it instant or takes a turn?

It creates a 1 million point damage shield for a few turns.anp wrote:Didn't want to start a new thread, so I'll ask my question here (kinda related) - how does the Potion on Invulnerability which one get from the Brotherhood of alchemists quest works? Re: Blood of Life
So I should use it right before the 5 turns I'd like to be invincible?

Yes.
I also can't tell you how much it irks me that it can't last long enough to survive Disruption shield bombing...

Actually not quite. If you're playing adventurer mode it will proc after all your lives are lost.Mewtarthio wrote:Use it ASAP. I really would like an option to choose whether to use it or your adventurer life when you die.

Re: Blood of Life
If you're playing necromancer and drink it while you're alive, how does it interact with lichdom? Will killing yourself with lichdom active cause it to trigger? I'd assume not, but does becoming permanently undead remove your second life?
Re: Blood of Life
The blood of life is forced out of your system when you bcome a liche, and is wasted.
Personally I think it should become a pet version of those animated blood horrors. Because rule of cool. But it simply gets wasted.

Seconded! Maybe if we ask Housepet really nicely it can be worked into a future version of Necromancy+...Elkan wrote:The blood of life is forced out of your system when you bcome a liche, and is wasted.
