When the time is right, you should take t-engine 4, pimp the absolute shit out of it, turn it into t-engine 5, and monetize it.
Alternatively maybe start fresh for te5?
Just saying. You most certainly have the talent, plenty of games out there outsource their engines used. If it wasnt for Quake and idtech2 we wouldnt have Call of Duty. If te5 was boss enough you could make some really good money.
Plenty of companies do this as well, start off as open-source then make an "enterprise" or "complete" or "upgraded" version which has way more bells and whistles that you can buy. Or you can use the standard edition all you want for free (which stays supported and updated)
Then when you make enough money you can hire underlings, call them DarkImps working for DarkGod to build upon te5.
Then you can become the next id software (say what you will about the "games" they make these days, but where they really shine is their engine development and sourcing)

Re: T-Engine 5
That certainly is a... bold premise. Darkgod releasing his product upon the world...
It makes me giddy.
There'd almost certainly be some market for a quality engine like his.
