Your most hated enemy ?

Ghoul never existed, this never happened!
Re: Your most hated enemy ?
I actually hate snow giants.
I think its the whole situation - When you find them in Daikara its the first time you are changing from mostly melee enemies with a few ranged skills thrown in to mostly ranged/magical attacks. It is very common to have a physical powerhouse that gets stunned/blinded/tossed around while getting hit full force by lightning bolts...

Re: Your most hated enemy ?
-Skeleton Warriors when playing a level 1 ghoul melee character. Too many deaths because of my slow speed and bad luck phase doors.
-Mages in Dark Crypt. I basically hate anything that robs me of my ability to move. Being teleported like 3 times before I can move again annoys the shit out of me.
-Any late game mob or boss that disarms your melee character.

Pretty much this. Kra'tor I had to disagree with as he's always been a pushover for me when I've seen him.CombatWombat wrote: -Oozing Horror, Umbral Horror, Worm that Walks, Dream Horror

Stronk is a potent combatant with a terrifying appearance.
Re: Your most hated enemy ?
Worm that Walks
Runners up include: Void Horror, Headless Horror, that unpronounceable invulnerable tentacled unique, the withering thing (on nightmare and beyond), skeleton master archers, bandit lord groups.
EDIT: And....now maybe I've got to add in patchwork troll to the mix. Trying to push through Reknor with a level 38 yeek on nightmare....which is probably far later than I should have done it....fighting off wave after wave of those damn things. And while being completely nonthreatening, MAN are those things annoying.

People who don't give useful bug reports.
My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.

Re: Your most hated enemy ?
Snow Giant Boulder Throwers are basically the worst thing. Why yes I would love to take huge damage and knockback from outside of my sight range, thanks for offering.
Been said a bunch, but Worms That Walk are a good way to make me just leave without even trying that fight. All of my nope. Nope nope nope.
Skeleton Master Archers are generally just jerks who can screw over early characters. They're not really "hated" enemies for me, but I prioritize killing them over basically anything else around when they show up.
Shardskin. I haven't fought him in several updates, but he ended 3 promising runs due to general jerkassery that I had no answer for awhile back. Still kinda salty.
Teleguroths(sp?). They hold a special place in my heart of hatred for teleporting me into my own steady shot crit. They're really not that bad, I know. That's just one of my most >______< deaths ever and sticks out in my mind.

Re: Your most hated enemy ?
Since a few updates, Shardskin has been toned down, most characters should have very few problems with it, unlike in the past in which for the level you were when you started Old Forest, Shardskin was a near overpowered machine of murder.Gatewalker wrote: Shardskin. Re: Your most hated enemy ?
The Sand in the Sand Worm Caves.
Any time I'm dumb and get caught in it, I immediately panic as I desperately try to move out of it, and in doing so get myself killed when a simple shield or teleport would have saved me. And because of that, they're my most hated enemy because I feel so dumb. I've gotten better about it, having a good light source helps, I think. (And patience, of course.) But man, when that stuff kills me, I just want to restart my character, I feel so embarrassed. Heroes don't die in walls of sand.

Re: Your most hated enemy ?
My own personal nemesis: anything that stunlocks (at least before lvl 30 as melee or later on any other class to get "spine of the world" prophecy) - skeleton master warrior.
(B/R)itch boss when playing as Yeek on nightmare+if she sees you first - you are pretty much dead. Her Soul Rot is OP.
Recent one: my own Doomed Copy in Dark Crypt when playing as Oozemancer without any unequipping tricks. It was pretty much endless fight of 36 lvl me vs 50 lvl him.

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody's got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.
Re: Your most hated enemy ?
I definitely agree with the Ritch Queen, on an Insane Archmage attempt I killed her with Arcane Eye and Glacial Vapors by abusing LoS. I don't think it's Soul Rot that she kills you with but rather her own instantaneous nuke so you can't even dodge it like you can dodge Soul Rot. This should really be changed in my opinion since at the moment it's impossible to kill her with several classes on high difficulties unless you get +100hp from drops.Nizidra wrote:My own personal nemesis: anything that stunlocks (at least before lvl 30 as melee or later on any other class to get "spine of the world" prophecy) - skeleton master warrior.

My wiki page, which contains a guide and resource compilation and class tier list.
Re: Your most hated enemy ?
Yep, best protection is not to be on LoS with enemy. Alchemist is the king here, but Archmage is good at this too.
Re: Your most hated enemy ?
Terrible, cheator way to deal with her: Hit the ritch tunnels first as yeek. Delve down to level 3, then pop back up before you meet her and hit Murgol's lair. Queen loads at original level, you level up in Murgol's lair for an easier fight. Or at least I'm pretty sure it works that way.Nizidra wrote:(B/R)itch boss when playing as Yeek on nightmare+if she sees you first - you are pretty much dead. Her Soul Rot is OP.

Re: Your most hated enemy ?
I don't see why it wouldn't. You lock her level at ~3 or 4, then go fight those Naga and Yaechs to put YOU at about 6. Then you show the Ritchmother who the boss is.
