Re: Furrae Races
That is amusing, but not as amusing as the fact that your poor pets drown pitifully when you go into underwater stages. The next patch will remove their need to breath, as there is no other elegant way to fix that without having the player micromanage the pet into bubbles constantly.

Re: Furrae Races
Give pets rings and amulet slots and hope the the player finds water breathing equips? lol
Re: Furrae Races
That would be a significant boost in pet power, don't you think?

Re: Furrae Races
Well, I haven't run into any super powerful rings. Normally the Ring of Growth I find. But you could just give pets an amulet slot. I'd say over 80% of the time at least one enemy drops a water breathing amulet before I hit the lake.

Idea: if you ever implant a rat-race, make the Skull of the Rat-Lich more powerful for that race? Maybe extra summoning if they can summon kin or something similar. There are other, animal-themed artifacts that could be great as race-specific "trophies".
Re: Furrae Races
I have no idea how to do that! But I'll poke in that direction.
How are the races/classes working out?

Re: Furrae Races
Having fun so far, always looking for stronger pets. Gotta catch 'em all.
Re: Furrae Races
How are pets you train yourself(leveling and assigning points to talents) compared to pets you find in the wild?

Re: Furrae Races
Well, finding wild pets with wyrmic talents is a beautiful thing. They level, get stat points, talent points, generic points, etc. Basically it's an NPC ally that gets strong enough to not constantly die. I've been wanting something similar to this for over a year. lol
Re: Furrae Races
Right, but do pets you train up compare to a random critter you run across, assuming both have good picks in talents?

Re: Furrae Races
Well, so far the starter pet gets no points towards stats, talents, gen, etc. Any other pet you capture (so far that I've seen) gets stat points, talent points, gen points. I'll check and see if any of the normal pets get abilities that level up.
Oh, one thing... When you capture a new pet, you can't set any of the options except leash. It would be nice if you could figure out how to keep all the pet options from the starter pet to the captured pets. (Behavior, talent use, etc.)
Edit----------------------
No, it seems normal captured pets don't get the talent trees, but keep the abilities they had before captured. (Example: Level 1 stun can't be upgraded due to no talent tree showing up, but that creature will always have level 1 stun)
Edit-------------------
BUT! The more that your pet levels, the more skills he can unlock, but apparently never talents. (Example: My Great Wolf hit level 12 and gained the skill Knockback.)

Re: Furrae Races
This is true. I was more wondering if you grab a low level rare with awesome trees, then find another higher level rare with awesome trees, which is better.

Re: Furrae Races
In my honest opinion, the higher. I've seen some level 9 rares with single digit actual stats but total stats were in the 40+'s. (Example being (40)5 or something like that.) You then have to decide based on what skills you see it currently has if it's worth switching.
Re: Furrae Races
Doesn't it gain stats and talents as it levels?

Re: Furrae Races
Yes, but each stat has two values. Current and (Base) stats. As shown below. Number in parenthesis is the character's non augmented stat. Number on the left is the character's total including equips and talent buffs.
