[1.1.3] automatically activate icon not always doing its job

When you right click on an icon, by example the Shield rune, you can set it to automatically enable when you see an enemy.

That's usefull, but annoyingly and more than half of the time it does not activate when the autoexplore stop because you just spotted an enemy, but it will automatically activate only the turn -after-.

That's a problem as if you do not notice that your shield is not automatically enabled despite it should, as you may want to use another spell, and in the same turn as you the enemy will use his spell too, damaging you before the shield finally activate.

The problem is a lot bigger when it is an enemy attack with some character/powers crippling ability when hit, leading you to just take damage after damage without being able to do anything as all your skills are greyed, something that wouldn't have happened if the skill had auto-activated when it should have

I don't think this is a bug so much as by design… I might be wrong though. Perhaps you should post this in the Ideas section.

I, for one, find it odd that when you move around, it triggers after the next turn after being aware of or spotting something, rather than after that turn itself.

It's a slightly inaccurate description and one that has led to my death more than once.

I will also note that the auto-activate (especially on sight of enemy) only works with "new" enemies. Should you have two shields, as I often do, then one will activate and then when it dies, the other doesn't activate until a new enemy is seen. This can lead to a short "insta-death" window.

It's either a bug or a weird system. Either way, it kind of sucks.

I think it works correctly. Auto using for shield will not activate when you still have rune saturation from previous shield.

I don't think so… the rune is available and set to activate automatically but it doesn't. Sure, I can manually do it and it works fine, which is what I do now. The runic saturation has nothing to do it. The problem is that the "visible enemies" command only triggers once per enemy, or at least that's what it looks like.
