So, just hit the crypt with my reaver on the mac. When I got down to the point of saving Melinda, the floor took a remarkably long time to load (all other load times up to that point had been fine) and when it *did* load, there were only three of the acolytes there. Unfortunately, this meant that I had no way to kill the fourth acolyte, and the demon spawned, eating melinda. This seems poor.

- Suggested stopgap measure: somehow run it off of how many there are alive, rather than how many you kill.

- alternate stopgap measure: have some way of freeing here that doesn't require you to kill them all (but is, perhaps, challenging or unwise if you don't). Example - while the ritual is ongoing, the squares surrounding Melinda do a fair bit of damage each turn to the player. Killing the acolytes will disrupt the ritual, but just walking over the damage field and breaking her chains will do the same, if you're willing to spend time doing that while the acolytes are shooting at you. Gives the slow and tanky types an alternate way to save the girl, too.
