Favorite Item?
Is there an artifact that is your favorite or you always look forward to getting?
Was just thinking about this today when I used the item vault to transfer a Burning Star. It always makes me so happy when I find one of those.

Re: Favorite Item?
wanderers rest for pinning immunity an that low cooldown telekinetic step. no replacement for them, usable even in vaults. basically op on almost any character. gets even better with charm mastery. cant be disabled.
burning star is nice ofc but theres other skills which can make up for not having it. its alot more useful in infinite dungeon imo.

Life Drinker + Telos' Top Half is a game-winning combo for almost any magic user.
Dakhtun's Gauntlets for that 50% crit mult.
Nexus of the Way for summons.
Untouchable because of the awesome shield proc.
Breath of Eyal on AM characters and Girdle of Preservation on anyone because of the ridiculous resists.
Wrap of Stone for awesome stats and activated ability early in the game.
Wanderer's Rest for incredible mobility.
Eden's Guile for global speed.
Summertide Phial, Ring of Growth, and Girdle of the Calm Waters for early heal mod.
Rod of Spydric Poison and Mummified Egg-Sac of Ungole because their activated abilities are amazing and don't require a slot.

Morrigor! It's flavorful, badass, capable of radically changing a build and raising new strategic questions, and available before you go East but usable throughout the game. I hope for it every time I go into Dreadfell.
I also sigh with massive relief every time I play a melee class and the minotaur drops the steel helm of Garkul, as well he should.

Anmalice demands your favoritism.
Seriously, I gave a Str. Wyrmic Mental Tyranny because of that sword.

I love Eelskin Armor for any early Mindpower character. Decent armor with free lightning bolts? Yes, please.
For magic-using character, the Rod of Annulment.

Lately I'm fond of Elemental Fury. I don't use it often, but once in a while it makes a great difference.

Silk Current is probably my favorite early-game drop.

I'm a big fan of Crystle's Astral Bindings; they're a relatively easily acquired proc-on-spell-hit item that end up adding quite a bit of damage to any caster's offensive repetoire.

Re: Favorite Item?
I have a deep and largely unrequited fondness for Spellhunt Remnants. For a number of my builds, the question "Do I take the first point in armor training?" maps to "Did I get spellhunt remnants?".

Re: Favorite Item?
The problem with that is that Spellhunt Remnants never drop on anybody but a wizard/undead. And never on Brawlers, even if undead. I have come to this conclusion through rigorous and completely objective research.

Re: Favorite Item?
For your brawlers, spellhunt remnants are something of a special case. Appropriately enough, the t5 version does Bad Bad Things to magic-users, but there are a number of better gloves for general purpose wear.

Blood of life, even I almost always end up wasting its effects. Oh, well.

Or rather the Steel Helm Of Hammerhand. :pcomrade raoul wrote:Morrigor! It's flavorful, badass, capable of radically changing a build and raising new strategic questions, and available before you go East but usable throughout the game. I hope for it every time I go into Dreadfell.

My favourite would have to go to Pendant of life and death for amazing damage conversion.
Stronk is a potent combatant with a terrifying appearance.
