Re: Beta test 1.0.5
Interesting, just thought I would check to see if I was using the most up-to-date driver; the installed version was from 2003, and using Windows' "update driver" button installed a new one listed as 2004;
However, with the newer driver, both version 1.0.4 and 1.0.5g were maxing out the CPU.
I have reverted to the earlier driver. Maybe it's just a fluke that TOME had been working so well for me all this time.

Re: Beta test 1.0.5
This is a driver for what part of your computer? Graphics? If so, I experienced a similar issue with mine after windows updated to service pack 3. Letting windows update broke opengl functions on the old driver, so tome would crawl. Letting windows update with it's 'suggested' driver made the problem worse. Chasing it down from the manufacturers website (intel in this case) solved the problem. Might you be experiencing similar problems?morganp wrote:Interesting, just thought I would check to see if I was using the most up-to-date driver; the installed version was from 2003, and using Windows' "update driver" button installed a new one listed as 2004;

Re: Beta test 1.0.5
Maybe; I did let Windows choose the graphics driver, before reverting to the earlier one. I checked the NVidia website, and they don't support this one anymore, apparently (GeForce4), so I guess this is the universe telling me my computer is outdated.
Re: Beta test 1.0.5
That's annoying, just realised that characters in these betas don't turn up in the characters vault, poor halfling corrupter winner, the world shall never know your exploits.
Re: Beta test 1.0.5
Load the character up in the final version to get them in the vaults.
I can't guarantee 100% that it'll work, but there's a pretty good shot that it will.
That's how I got this character on there, in fact.

Re: Beta test 1.0.5
I might have to wait until 1.05 comes out proper and try then, the various changes mean i cant load him in 1.04

Re: Beta test 1.0.5
So, I was playing last night, and tried to take off a staff with a ward on it...

Not exactly sure how/why this happened, but I do know it eats both weapons when swapped, or destroys the unequipped weapon. May be related to mods, but I'm really not sure at this point.
And now even trying to Command Staff eats the staff, weee...

Re: Beta test 1.0.5

This happened on trollmire 1. Game log is attached.
EDIT: I also encountered that staff-eating bug, and found that if you encounter it, learning/unlearning talents will not affect your available points. This would allow for someone to learn literally every talent available to the class at 5/5 + cat point and have max inscriptions very easily. This would lead to some absolutely absurdly powerful characters. I do not have a log for this one

Re: Beta test 1.0.5
Staff bug is because you use a character from a previous beta.

Re: Beta test 1.0.5
I encountered the staff bug on a freshly made character in 1.0.5g. I tried using command staff as quickly as possible after character creation and my staff disappeared in a lua error. The same lua error also occurred when I tried equipping the tooth of the mouth.darkgod wrote:Staff bug is because you use a character from a previous beta.

DarkGod, just to note, it's time to either add a scroll bar to the artifact merchant or turn it into sub menus like Command Staff, it's getting too long for some people's screens...
I advise the same breakdown the inventory screen has!
