One man's bugs

#1 Post by Antonymouse »

Okay, instead of sifting through all of the bug reports for the ones that apply to me, I'll just list them in groups based on similar bugs.

First of all, neither Burrow (sanddrake wyrmic) nor Wraithform (Shadowflame, corrupter I believe, I was using an addon class) work for me, I can't quite describe it, they just don't work. I'll be next to a diggable block in the freaking Sandworm Lair and try to move through it with burrow/wraithform active and it simply doesn't work.

Secondly, when I recently tried to "bump" an enemy, I realized that bumping is also bugged for me. All this really does is inconvenience me rather greatly, and when you toss in the next bug it becomes nearly maddening.

Thirdly, when I was recently trying to unlock Solipsist, I noticed that in the dream of loss the lost wife doesn't actually appear, but can still attack me ect. When I consulted other people with faces I learned that the lost wife is only supposed to... (I would say exist but for me exist isn't the right term for describing her) happen after you've killed all the yeek/ghoul things. When I tried the dream of loss, she would not only be in a random yeek but even if I did trigger her last, she was still bugged. As a result, regardless of beating the dream of vulnerability I still have not unlocked Solipsist.

Fourthly, the icons for skills disappear when I'm moving the skills from one spot on the hotkey bar to the other, and items have no icons unless I'm currently wearing the item. Both of these are mere inconveniences, however they are extremely inconvenient and annoying.

I may have left out a bug or two, but those ones don't really matter anyway. Also, yes i did try working around the Solipsist unlock bug and not only were the people I asked advice from useless, but the majority of them ignored me. As far as getting the solution myself, I have no experience in programming and Google mostly gave me complaints and bitching about the mouse dream, Solipsist being overpowered, and nearly everything except what I was hoping for.

Thank you to the person who suggested that I include the game version, it's 1.0.4.

You seem to be having major bugs with the game.
In this sort of situation it helps to include what version of the game you are running and what your system is.
My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.

For the bump, it sounds like you may have passive movement mode on. Try hitting 'shift B' next time you're in the game to change it back (in the HUD display in the upper left (by default) there's a shield and crossed swords under your characters picture. If movement mode is passive, the swords vanish, if it's active, they come back.) Shift B should toggle between the two. You want active. Burrow/wraithform/opening doors may also be linked to this.

The lost wife dream bug is an addon issue, I believe. Are you using any, and if so, which ones?

Thank you for the advice on the shift+b, that helps tremendously even though I haven't quite been shifting any B's, and the addons I'm using are: Adventure mode achievements (your addon, whatever it's name is) the Nullpack, Extra Dungeons, Tower Defense, and Arcanum. However, I had the issue long before I installed the Tower Defense, Adventure Mode Achievements, or Extra Dungeons.

Once again, thank you. (thought I should add this in, the game crashed twice while I was typing this, figured I might have left crashing out of the list of infuriating bugs)
