The life regen displayed on the item may be incorrect to the actual stats given to the player, and I will make sure to double check.
I had to do a different method than normal to do what I had wanted it to, so actual stats given, and the stats displayed in the item are 100% separated.

I could find no way to display the -speed part, I'm afraid, so any bugs pertaining to that, I'd like to not be posted, as I will indeed look for a solution to that.

The speed loss going up and down I've not experienced, do you have the newer upload?
I had a broken version uploaded earlier, and recently reuploaded a newer one.

Not showing the maximum stats was intentional, so that the player would have some mystery in just how far they go.
There is, however, a hard-capped limit on everything.

Yes,

I used the newest version of the upload (from 1,5h ago). After a while I noticed the speed lost getting a bit bigger (6%). I got rid of it by simply taking the ring off and then on again. In my opinion this feature (stat gain/loss over time) adds only unnecessary micromanagement to the game. To be honest, I would prefer to have fixed values on the stat gain/loss so I could make the decision whether to wear an item or not based on the data I see and not some hidden attributes. Just my 2 cents.

Cheers.

Micromanagement?
I'm not sure I see what you mean.

Yes, taking the item off resets your stats, but that isn't required, and simply resets it's progress.
The bonus/negative stat gain is a fixed value, but simply applies slowly. 1% chance per turn of it activating.
If you like, I could instead have it apply once per turn, and slow down it's rate more.

As you have the latest version, I have never gotten the speed going up and down bug that you have experienced. Could you perhaps post your save with the item in question?

Hey,

One more thing, i took the ring off and noticed the hp Regen and the negative speed mod remained on my char screen. I think this is a bug.
Micromanagement?
I'm not sure I see what you mean.
What i ment is the foollowing:
If i have a ring with +70hp and 6hp/turn regen i could constantly take the ring off and on again just to have the negative speed bonus at the lowest possible value. If it gets to high, i do it again and again.
In my opinion, it would be better if the whole positive and negative bonus would be applied from the very start. This way, you would choose, if you want the item with the advantages and disadvantages and have not the possibility to cheese your way out of the negative bonus.
Ill wear the ring a bit longer. If i see the strange speed up/down issue Ill send you the save.

Cheers.

But... taking it off should also reset the life regen bonus... so, wha?

it should, thats true.

The whole point is not to use (or rely for balance reasons) on game mechanics which encourage gamy behavior (which in my opinion is taking the ring off and on again to retain the bonus stat but to minimize the penalty).
this is one thing.

the other thing is, there is a bug in the current implementation.
The life regen bonus from the Turtle's EGO is retained even after the ring has been taken off.

Cheers.

*twitch* What addons are you using, because this is the second time you've reported something that has functioned just fine on my end.

I've had life regen properly be removed from the player upon removal of the equipment.

And once again, if your game did it properly, having it equipped longer would give higher positive stats, alongside the negative stats. (+life regen, - global speed)
So you saying 'making the player remove it to get better stuff' is false.

Addons:

Turtle Race,
Doctornull's Class Pack,
Midnight,
Faster Run/Rest/Explore

I can't reproduce the bug either. I mean, the positive hp-regen remains even after i take of the ring with the turtle ego but i can't cause it to happen in the first place. Its the same with the variable speed loss.
Well... maybe after a bit more playing I'll be able to find a game state which causes the bug to occur in the first place.

Cheers

Um, why does Stalagmite Shell convert to cold damage? Stalagmites are made of rock, not ice. Are you maybe thinking of icicles?

Could be, I'm terrible with words.

I made it convert mainly to offer more interesting playstyles, and to hopefully let Ice Turtles stand up to the other 3 in balance.

The Ghourtle racial skills are the same as the megaturtle. Is this intended?

For better or worse yes, the ghourtle shares the megaturtle racials.

Still not enough rot, in my opinion.
