1.0.4 Unchangeable escort issue

Okay, so my game crashes sometimes, so I have auto save on level start on.

The problem is, if my game crashes on a level with an escort, it defaults to them being saved normally, or with the succor mod, no escorts at all. It seems the dialog for an escort doesn't really pop up/work when you resume from a save, which is a bit frustraing!

always save manually after you pick an option for escort. otherwise you may end up with a saved arcane escort even if you are am. same goes to alchemists and their potions - always save after you pick one, otherwise the alchemist(or a whole town) will become unresponsive in case of a crash.
