Artifacts:
-Rock Lobster is now a loner.

-New Artifact: Cold Shoulder
-It cares not for anything but it's owner.


New Subrace: Ice Turtle. (Talents on the main post, updated to show them.)
-Not adding racials to NPCs, as they already fufill their job well enough.
-It would simply provide more annoyance to melee players.

Is the Turtlemire still just pure turtles?

IMHO it would benefit from a bit more variety, with turtles as the heavy-hitters (just like trolls in the Trollmire).

Rock Lobster would be a fine addition as a mook who could attack you with claws, rocks and a guitar solo.

While I can see the positive side of that, Turtlemire, dispite the name, isn't meant to do what Trollmire does.

It's a dedicated, and simple dungeon designed on one thing: Turtles.

This allows the player to use their lower global speed to help in all encounters.

And is also in flavor for how Turtlemire 4 is structured.


Rock Lobster as a unique? It all makes sense...

Maybe the Rock Lobster was a snow giant boulder chucker, now cursed by the turtle god to wander his swamp forever in the form of a lobster... and he lobs rocks.

Regarding your purity of vision, I can respect that, even if the alternative would be more fun IMHO. :)

Ice Turtle:
-Second Racial changed to pull + pin.
-Fixed the most obvious typo ever on the Third Racial.
-Fourth Racial now has a chance to freeze enemies who hit you.

Earth Turtle:
-Properly updated the description for the fourth racial.

-New reward for killing the Turtle God.

Does this mean that it's turtle version is the same as what we had before, and just non-turtles got lowered, or did both get nerfed (again)?

Normal stats got hit, and turtle stats you'll find higher than before.

Lots of fun!

Mega turtle summoner seemed to make nightmare fairly easy until I got lazy marching around the turtlemire. Has anyone managed to save Melinda on Nightmare? I was completely out of luck with that... not a single escort survived either.

Escorts are... fairly impossible later on, but can be done early with enough pre-planning.
Jay had managed to get within site of the Scarred Char ending, and to even MAKE it to Melinda, you'd need 4 movement infusions, rampage, and time travel.

-All non Turtlemire turtles have had their life regeneration greatly lowered.

Been playing a lot of turtles on nightmare lately and I keep meeting a horrible death between levels 20 and 30. I've tried archmage, necromancer, mindslayer, solipist, sun paladin, and summoner and I've noticed a few things:

Speed is one of those things that doesn't scale evenly. +20% doubles your speed as a megaturtle and makes a HUGE difference. The solipist was only a little slow and the archmage with essence of speed and harmony actually got up around 120% global speed.

Turtles are one of the few classes with an easier early game than late game. The tier 1 dungeons are fairly easy, but it gets rough after that.

Turtle archmages don't get the teleport to Angolwen spell. Not a big deal, just a bit of a surprise.

Overconfidence is your greatest weakness.

Melinda and the yeek wayist are just there to taunt you. It's hopeless.

I think I'm going to try and adventurer next and stack as many effects as I can that will damage the enemy when they hit me...

Hey,

great addon, I play it even only for the new artifacts.
One comment - the 2 lev 5 staves are a bit to strong. Looking at all the bonuses they are one handed...
A bit of an overkill, i think.

-Will find them more grouped together

Rebalanced some of the higher tiered staves
-They were all leading more towards caster, despite their original goal of being a melee/caster hybrid

I don't want to hit the final Tier 5 too hard, since you have to slay a physical god to claim it, but I do respect that it was on the higher side.

I am saddened however, that some people used adjustable xp to reach and slay him. :cry:
