Disengage

Is disengage broken in the latest version? I'm new to the game, and I have an Archer. I have tried all manner of ways to make it work, and It simply doesn't move me at all when I use it. Am I missing something vital?

Disengage won't work if you aren't able to move due to a debuff (like being pinned) or other effects that root you in place (like the Archery Aim talent). Could something like this be affecting you?

Disengage doesn't move you to a place, so if you're trying to target a location, it won't work. Disengage makes you jump away from an Enemy. So what you should target is the enemy you want to jump away from.

I click on "disengage", then on the enemy and....the power goes on cooldown but I never move. Ever. And I know I'm not pinned or stunned or whatever. It's very puzzling and irritating, because that skill is kind of critical for an archer.

Sorry I have to ask another dumb question. Do you have somewhere to Disengage to? If you don't have a clear path away from the enemy (eg. back to the wall, or surrounded) it won't work.
