Exploring Level 3 of the Halfling Complex, I got attacked (from some distance) by a skeleton warrior named Xanawen. Got blinded, unfortunately, so was unable to see what was going on.
Suddenly started getting more than twenty instances of the same Lua Error (something about archery) every turn. If I clicked "Close All" a sufficient number of times they would clear, and I was able to do instantaneous things (infusions, Resilience of the Dwarves) without any problems, but as soon as I took an action that would use up my turn, here would come the Lua Errors again. I think Xanawen was attacking me during its turn, because my HP dropped between turns. (Also, the countdown on my blindness didn't seem to be dropping, but that may have been the result of some effect I didn't notice -- it was hard to keep track of what was going on with Lua Errors coming out of my ears.)
Eventually it all seemed to get a bit much for the game, which hung/froze, and I had to use Task Manager to kill it. But when I reloaded my save and started exploring again, the same skeleton attacked me and the same Lua Error started appearing. Moving with the golem instead of my main character didn't make it any less error-ful.
I'm not sure what's happening here.
Edit 28/08/2013: Well, this is disheartening. After successfully getting past Xanawen (I got just close enough to get it within bomb range, then just kept lobbing bombs until it was dead-and-then-some), I headed for the next place on my checklist, which was Reknor. In there, I found another named monster (a troll, I think?), and guess what -- as soon as it attacked me, the exact same thing happened. >_<
It looks like this run is cursed. Still nobody got any idea what's going on, or if there's any chance it's fixable?
