Roguelike keyset, also, put mapped keys in helper text.

Not all computers have keypads. The default mac keyboard doesn't have one, as well as most laptops (and only some have the ability to have an emulated numpad, but it's a nightmare to use) both of which I play on exclusively. While I do appreciate the ability to remap keys manually, it would be nice if there was a "default" set and a "roguelike" set to change them quickly (also if you mess up keybindings and want to go back to the defaults). Also, on another note, when you get helper text, I notice that it mentions keys that are default (Press j to look at your journal, etc.) instead of what they really are mapped to at the time.

I too usually play on a laptop, and I echo this frustration.

The movement key setup makes me use the mouse to move around, and that causes all sorts of pain when pop-ups.

Roguelike keys would demand a slightly different interface -- the "hotbar" would be useless for this mode, and using a talent might require several keystrokes -- but it's a popular keyset for Roguelikes (shockingly enough 8) ) so there ought to be a lot of good examples to copy or steal from out there.
Check out my addons: Nullpack (classes), Null Tweaks (items & talents), and New Gems fork.
