Can I be added to the people that can edit/add content to the wiki, please? I have some early character help FAQs I can copy in.
Final Master's Character Guides
Final Master's Guide to the Arena
Edge: Final Master... official Tome 4 (thread) necromancer.

Things we need help with on the wiki:

* Zone information/detail - particularly for the Far East zones
* Help filling in the list of where each item in the Alchemist Quest can be found
* For many many talents, we need to flesh out details, including what levels/stats are required and if they are activated, sustained or passive, range, cost, and cooldown
* A page on T-Engine 4
* A full list of achievements
* Pages for bosses, with stats, details and strategy
* Flesh out difficulty level details
* Pages for backup guardians

By the way, for any editors, I'd like to suggest we use this naming strategy, from Wikipedia:Naming Convention (plurals) -

Convention: In general only create page titles that are in the singular, unless that term is always in a plural form in English (such as scissors) or is among the exceptions such as those listed below.

Let's say you were writing a page about crayons. Should you call the page [[crayons]], which is basically what the page is about, or [[crayon]], which makes it easier to link to from passages like "Harold took out his purple crayon and drew the curtains"? Probably the latter.

One can still write [[crayon]]s (which the software is smart enough to render as crayons), but if the page is called [[crayons]], then whenever one wants to use the term in the singular, one is forced into creating a piped link—the ungainly [[crayons|crayon]], or creating a redirect (see below).

On plurals and weird capitalizations and so on, the best answer would be to move the "wrong" page to the "right" page. Unfortunately, most of us cannot move pages -- it requires special permission.

So we have a lot of cases that are ass-backwards right now -- for example, The agent of the arena redirects to Arena, and then the page content apologizes for having the wrong title -- merely because the first person to add the content did it "wrong" and now we're stuck that way until a person with "move" powers fixes it.

There are a whole lot of these cases.

You can move pages. It's in the drop-down (arrow) next to View History.

USE THIS POWER WISELY. :D

Also, it is helpful to watch/frequently check the Recent Changes page to see what other editors are doing.

* Aether Permeation - be exposed to the void of space - where? how?

Ah. Sneaky.

Well, it won't let me swap a redirect for the page that it's currently pointing to (e.g. it won't let me move "Anti-magic" to "Antimagic", when there is already a redirect from "Antimagic" to "Anti-magic"). It says, in red text,

You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reason:

A page of that name already exists, or the name you have chosen is not valid. Please choose another name.

I guess that means all the "damage control" I tried to do (setting up redirects to the "bad" page with all the content, from the "good" page name) are now preventing me from fixing it properly. :(

You can only move a page to a new name if the new name (a) doesn't exist (b) is only a redirect. This is to prevent people from overwriting entire pages.

If it's REALLY bad, darkgod should be able to delete a page, but using redirects should still work for us.

Now, here's MY headache: All the talents are "Talent Name (talent)" eg: "Rush (talent)". This is highly annoying since every time you want to link a talent you need to type [[Rush (talent)|Rush]], for example.

The options are (a) find a way to redirect all things with (talent) appended to the short name or (b) use the move page option for every. single. page.

I tried to find an extension to do (a) but I haven't had any luck :(

The import seems to have not gotten the image files for the Chronomancy/Chronomancy talents - is it possible for someone to upload those? I don't know where to get them from. These are the .png files I'm talking about, for http://te4.org/wiki/Chronomancy_(category)

greycat: I saw your updates to page "Tier". I suggest we make a disambiguation page as is common with "overloaded" words on other wikis. Page "Tier" would direct to either "Item Tier" or "Rescaled Combat Stats".

Alternately, I'd suggest we not include rescaled combat stats in page "Tier", since it does not appear to the end user in the game, while Item Tier does.

Comments?

In a past life I used to be a professional copy editor (book publishing). If you've never heard of it, Wikipedia has a failry clear explanation of what I can do.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copy_editing.

If you need me to have a look at things then PM me with a page link and I'll go have a look... I'll let you know what I've done with a change log.
Regards

Jon.

It totally does appear to the end user. It's a huge part of the game. The advanced tutorial covers it in depth. The name "cross-tier effect" makes explicit reference to it.
