What changed in 1.0.4, is there anything in particular we should be looking for?

It's 1.0.3 that should work better :)

Well so far it's running way faster and my repeated bugs in melee (particularly with armoured skeleton warriors) has disappeared. Still early, but so far so good.

Edit: Well of course I *did* speak too soon and sure enough I've been running into a few bugs. Sent in the reports.

hey DG,

so far 1.04a seems to be running very nicely - none of the perfomace lag i was getting on 1.0.3 :)

however, so far only tested on new character - is there a way to drop a save from 1.0.3 into the 1.0.4a directory so i can carry on with my character (lv 29 sun paladin about to head into reknor) and test your new build with a high level toon? Cheers

I've run through several very complex levels with this version so far, and no bugs to report. Performance is noticeably better.

Interesting.

For the 32-bit mac, target skills work if you use it with only one monster in range.

If there are no foes in range or there are multiple in range, well, error.

Edit: Right-click target and select skill works for any skill.

So key-binding is the problem? :?

I am seeing a very dramatic improvement with performance versus 1.0.3 on linux 64bit.

now to carry on to the east with what appears to be much improved performance! Cheers :D

sorry to report that i seem to be running into substantial performance issues with the beta version - after thinking everything was much better with testing early level game characters - and for sure the general - i.e. there always - slow down issues i was getting with 1.0.3 are gone, but now my 30's level sun paladin has intermittently been hitting rough patches where the turn sequence will drop to a crawl (seconds.... for one turn to go through) - seems to mostly happen in combat, but takes the form of a memory leak (or something like it?!) i.e. once the slowdown has begun its only possible to quit to menu and reload to fix performance. In truth this is happening more now than ever (always something that happened on my system after a good few hours play on 1.0 and 1.0.1) but it was never this bad in the lag stakes, and is much more frequent now than ever (sometimes pops up after just 20 minutes, for sure in one hour).

Don't know if it could have something to do with transfering my character from 1.0.3? or could it be the combination of bathe in light, chant of the fortress, tree of life and irresistable sun all together causing my computer to spit its dummy?

Wanted to try loading the character back into the 1.0.3 (with main tengine file from 1.0.1) to see if there was a difference but i'm a little scared of corrupting my character with all this playing around.... i seriously think im going to get a shot at my first win with this toon .... im all up for testing and helping out as i can... but im scared to loose my shalore sun paladin! Would it be safe to keep switching back and forth to check performance of the beta vs 1.0.3 (with workaround) ??

Cheers :) (still loving every second with the game by the way, even after all those hours..... :D )

Just wondering - does this in any way correlate to the SVN versions? Cause I have seen no commits since the release of 1.0.3 that should make any real performance impact...
