Nightmare Yeeks

#1 Post by loimprevisto »

I haven't been able to get out of the halfling complex yet with a yeek. I can occasionally defeat Subject Z, but then it seems that no matter how careful I am I get taken out by a monster or (most recently) a nightshade trap that hits for 226 nature damage. Am I missing something, or is it supposed to be this difficult?

Check out this long list of Nightmare/Roguelike winning Yeeks.

(The forum code doesn't like the url, so you'll have to copy paste. Can't figure out why. Just leaving it without the tags was giving half an url, and it does that when I use URL tags. If you prefer, just search for Nightmare/Roguelike/Winner/Yeek/Maj'eyal on the vault.)

You are missing a detail, though; Using the Rod of Recall the moment you enter the Halfling Ruins will take you out to the Ruins entrance on the normal world map, not to the cave you entered it from on the small Rel area part of the map you started at. That helps a bit.

Hi

The issue you have run into is the difficulty of phpbb to parse square brackets and to make a decision as to whether a square bracket is part of an URL or not. As shown below.
Your solution is the best one without going to great lengths to fix it.

How true and quick! It 's quite hard work fighting through that dungeon best to use the escape route offered!

Have fun, I really like Yeeks.

Jon.

Wow, the rod of recall trick made quite a difference. Thanks for the tip :)
