Hey people,
I know there has already been discussion on the Eidolon invincibility bug (you stay invincible on and off the plane), but now I'm trying desperately to die. I'm playing as a temporal warden, and I have to die to unlock the paradox mage! I know there's an easy way to fix this by playing around with the lua console, but I hear you can't unlock achievements this way.
I know there's a fix (http://te4.org/games/addons/tome/double ... planes-fix), but it doesn't seem to be working. I think the fix is to prevent the bug, not to cancel it out. Or maybe I'm doing it wrong. I put the file in the addon folder. Is that correct?
Thanks!

Once you hit the bug, the addon will not help getting rid of it.Shplanks wrote: I know there's a fix (http://te4.org/games/addons/tome/double ... planes-fix), but it doesn't seem to be working. The way out is through the use of the Lua console after enabling cheating.
General directions:
Code: Select all
a) enable cheating http://te4.org/wiki/t4modules-debugging
b) load your character
c) activate the console (Ctl+L)
d) type and enter the following:
game.player.invulnerable_others=0
e) hit the ESC key
f) save and exit
g) disable cheating by just deleting the file you created at step a)
h) reload your character and it should be able to die now

Will enabling cheating prevent me from getting achievements and unlocking paradox mage? As I said, this is a temporal warden and I'm trying to unlock paradox mage...
Thank you for the help!

If you have 1 more life (NOT blood of life, an actual extra life) then you can whack yourself for damage until you die. My understanding is that another trip to the eidolon plane will fix the glitch, but since you have to die to do this... (Basically, damage you deal TO YOURSELF bypasses the 'protection of the Eidolon' buff.) I also want to stress that I have not attempted this myself, I only have secondhand knowledge from chat that another trip to the eidolon plane will successfully remove the buff. Buyer beware, though with a bugged character, you really have nothing to lose. Either it works or you have to make another one anyway.Shplanks wrote:Will enabling cheating prevent me from getting achievements and unlocking paradox mage? And yes, using the LUA console will invalidate the game and prevent you from earning achievements.
As for the addon, putting it in the folder is the first step, then you go to the add-ons on the main menu, and make sure that it says either 'automatic: Enabled' or 'Manual: Enabled'. If it says either of those, new games created will apply the add-on. An add-on CANNOT be applied to a game in progress. When applied to a new game, it attempts to prevent the bug from occurring, but will not resolve the bug should it have already occurred on a character. If you got the add-on AFTER the character had been started, that add-on is not applied to the existing savefile.
Currently playing under the name Aura of the Dawn 4 down, 227 to go!

Thanks for the advice, Crim. Not sure how many lives I have left, but hopefully I can give it a try. I'll let ya know how it turns out.
Edit: It worked! Thank you!
