Power Leveling

#1 Post by xanderhunter »

I was reading the Unlockables thread and saw someone mention power leveling in the Old Forrest and was wondering how you go about that. At a guess I'd say it probably had something to do with the Honey Tree's and letting Bee's spawn there and killing them, but I wanted to make sure.

The pits of enemies in the Old Forest can let you level fast if you have a way to kill them all easily. However this isn't power levelling really, as the amount of experience you get is related to the distance between you and the enemy's level. The xp rewards eventually decrease and then stop.

Summons don't give experience, and that includes honey tree bees. As a general rule, you can't grind anything except wilderness patrols and farportals, neither of which are exactly risk-free. Other than that, endless hordes of enemies don't give you anything for killing them.

The thing about the Old Forest is that there are a lot of enemies in it, so you can get a lot of experience fighting there.

There is also currently a bug in the old forest, where if you enter a bonus sublevel (underground cave or something), and then leave it, you can then complete the oldforest, reenter it, and the game will let you beat everything after the underground cave over and over and over again.
