Prodigies for mindslayer
So, I've built a mindslayer out as what is (to me) a small variation on the default build - a reasonably durable single-target dwarvish nuker (I play this character because as far as I can tell it's the strongest character available to me right now, and I crave some of the late-game unlocks that I've never managed to get). I crank mindlash, I max and conduit the two non-physical auras, I wield three mindstars, I have pretty heavy investment in shields, and I've gone antimagic but likely won't be getting the fungus tree. I've gotten enough con to max thick skin (and don't really intend to raise it further unless I somehow have points left over), I've maxxed will, and I'm working on cunning. Thing is, I don't really know what to do with prodigies Part of me thinks that I should go with the will one that transforms all of your attacks into mind damage, and then the cunning one that makes mind damage confuse the enemy, but I'm not sure how useful that actually is - I've heard that mind has save-to-reduce effects, and the phys damage coming off of mindlash seems high enough to largely ignore armor, so I'm a bit worried it might wind up being a net loss. The meteor strike one also sounded tempting, but I haven't experienced a meteor strike as yet, and I'm not entirely clear on how useful it is. Can someone help out with a bit of clue here please?
Re: Prodigies for mindslayer
mental tirany is really good for solipsist but for mindslayer you have to check ur mindpower... if its high enough its a GREAT GREAT choice.-> start thinking about bonus to mind dmg and mind dmg reduction
Not sure how it works exactly but seems low mindpower makes them reduce ur mind damage.
Second choice, no clue

If you want to go the Mental Tyranny route, definitely do pump your mindpower and mind damage bonuses. It's pretty good, though. As for other prodigies, if you're going antimagic try the Spell Feedback one. If not, stuff that make you tougher can be good. The prodigies that have a chance on critical hits to inflict assorted debuffs depending on your damage type seem kinda meh. You need a high critical chance to get an even remotely (and I do mean remotely) good rate of debuffs out of them, and those debuffs're kinda weak.

Meteor certainly works now, it is an extra 400 or so damage and a good chance to stun for a few turns.
If you went mental tyranny you probably want to go superpower for the mindpower bonus. The fact that it makes mindstars in combat really wicked is a good side benefit. You will have to swap gear and hoard gear to meet the stat requirement.
If there is ANYTHING you can sacrifice to get fungus, do it :p 5-1-5-1 fungus tree is almost a requirement endgame. It is one of the strongest trees in the game, finer energy manipulation is the other non magic one.
