[v1.0.4] Rest Tweaks (Rechargeables, Auto-use and More!)
This addon makes several changes to resting:
1. Checks for and waits on any rechargeable items (e.g. Eden's Guile, Gwai's Burninator, etc.)
2. Checks for and reloads any ammo in offhand quiver (you're welcome, Temp Wardens!)
3. Waits for cooldowns of talents set to auto-use
4. Waits for depleted air to replenish
5. Combines all checks into a single instance of rest, rather than having cooldowns etc. require a second resting phase
The last change has the added benefit of fixing a quirk in the way auto-explore used rest which sometimes caused the player to start exploring before all cooldowns were off.
Please let me know if you have any issues or would like to see any other rest-related tweaks added.

Re: [v1.0.0] Rest Tweaks (Rechargeables + Offhand Ammo)
Thank you very much, just what I wanted.
Before, I sometimes didn't always use powered items when I could have, because I din't just want to hold down skip turn forever (especially when you sometimes accidentally give patrolling enemies some free hits this way) or went to autoexplore with half my longer charging talents still on cooldown and had to manually press rest then autoexplore, not just autoexplore.
Like the rest won't wait for 0.0 mana regen, but will even for 0.01?

Is there a way to make the rest wait for when you have positive regen (even temporarily) for negative or positive energy, either as an Anorithil with below Twilight's reserved pool, or a Lich or a custom class?CaptainTrips wrote:Please let me know if you have any issues or would like to see any other rest-related tweaks added.

Thanks, for this excellent addon!
I would like to see the rest waiting for auto-used talents too, I don't use auto-use because of this.CaptainTrips wrote:Please let me know if you have any issues or would like to see any other rest-related tweaks added

You're welcome; thanks for the feedback!
I'll try to get out an update for 1.0.1. tomorrow, but unfortunately I won't be able to put in any real work on this for the next week or so.

I'm also going to remove the check for only worn rechargeable items from the next version - I hadn't thought about things like the Burninator or the egg-sac.

This shouldn't be too problematic. You can tell I never play celestials, otherwise I probably would have already included this.ironroby wrote:Is there a way to make the rest wait for when you have positive regen (even temporarily) for negative or positive energy, either as an Anorithil with below Twilight's reserved pool, or a Lich or a custom class?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this. Do you mean that rest doesn't wait for talent cooldowns if they were auto-used? (You can also tell I don't really use auto-skills.gajdusek wrote:I would like to see the rest waiting for auto-used talents too, I don't use auto-use because of this.

Updated for 1.0.1.
I can't test the new version myself right now, because I'm on OSX and the compile probably won't be out for a week or so, so please let me know if you have any issues.
I've also removed the 'if worn' check for rechargeable items, such that those used directly from the inventory will now also recharge. The other additions are going to be awhile yet.

Ah, I see what you mean after I tried setting a healing spell on auto-use. As things stand, putting any long-cd skill on auto-use is highly impractical. I'll work on this, but it may require some fairly subtle changes.gajdusek wrote:Thanks, for this excellent addon!

Re: [v1.0.1] Rest Tweaks (Rechargeables + Offhand Ammo)
Alright, I've got the auto-use talent thing figured out and working in my test version. I'm holding off from uploading for the moment, however, as I won't have any way to reliably check md5s until the new OSX compile is out.

Updated to include waiting for depleted air to replenish.
Re: [v1.0.1] Rest Tweaks (Rechargeables, Auto-use and More!)
Thought I'd put this here, even if you'd have no idea.
The Gardener addon, though still not 'updated' for a while, does work on the current version, UNLESS paired with this.
For some reason, when both are installed, the entire Mold tree can't be used, as it tosses a lua-error upon mouse-over.
Do you know anything obvious from yours that could be causing this, or is it's age showing compared to updated addons?
In other news, this addon is a godsend for when I want to use Eel-skin or the flame gloves early on, glad you made it.

I'm not familiar with that mod - I'll take a look at see what might be causing the problem.

Great, just what I need to stop my mage getting killed.
Re: [v1.0.1] Rest Tweaks (Rechargeables, Auto-use and More!)
Please - can this be made for 1.0.4? It is the best addon bar none.

Thanks for the compliment; you know how to motivate.
I'll get out a version for 1.04 most likely tomorrow. Also, I noticed a few days ago that somehow the 1.01 version was released with old code, meaning the rechargables weren't working correctly. This will of course be fixed in the new version.

Any chance that the updated version will be able to wait for Bone Shield to recharge? This is currently an annoyance of mine since I started a reaver to test out the revamped bone shield.
<astralInferno> poor stunt
