ToME, but since i'v only played ToME, moria, and about 5 minutes of rogue... also, your results are likely to be a bit skewed, even if no brown-nosing occurs at all... if this *wasn't* my favorite, i'd instead be playing whichever one was, and thus i'd be on their forum, not this one.

Tome id the best, the only thing missing is a percent resist system like Eyangband.
Above the hearth was a huge pokerwork sign saying "Mother". No tyrant in the whole history of the world had ever achieved a domination so complete.

I used to play ADOM, but when I got enough of waiting for new updates, I surfed a bit and found angband. I didn't like it. But TOME is somthing else! It's the best (that i've played) ;-)

this should serve to weed out the unfaithful. thus DG would get his volunteers.

Eh. I didn't expected I will be first to not vote ToME. It's quite bad with me now, hey? :(
I have a dream. One day, everyone should find Feanor.

i also did not vote for tome.. it is very good, but currently im liking hengband a bit better. i like the idea of riding pets, and them evolving..

i dunno. it just currently feels right.

when it comes to editing, however.. tome is much much easier :D

as a couple of ya may have noticed from my first post, im doing some editing to it.. and the comments in everything, from the*_info files to the actual source, have just been amazing. its clear, concise, and explains things well.

guess ive just played tome(and pernangband) for so long that i needed something new and fresh to try. especially considering i havent made it very far.. i never backup characters, cause i think that takes the fun out of it.

Mh ToME monsters can all levels, you never tried ot get a compagnion did you ? ;)
Riding *is* on my todo list for .. mh a few years :) (before heng even existed I think :)

And if you find editing so good, what about writting a tutorial/docs about how to create patches ? ;)

i'll consider it :) i need to work on it more, however. I've only been seriously editing for the past few days.. sure, i've changed a couple things i cant stand, such as breeding monsters before, but what im working on, if it goes how i hope it will, will end up being a complete and total conversion.. new races, classes, skills, etc. hopefully ill be able to do most of that through lua, as i understand that a lot better than i do whats in the .c and .h files and so forth. the commenting in those makes it understandable to an extent, but theres a lot that i dont understand as well.

i never did try the companion thing, because i didnt think it would work that way.. it wasnt clearly obvious. my fault on that one. ill have to give that a try tomorrow.
