Finally got a nice elven silk cloak as a lvl 47 TW:

Code: Select all

Accuracy +7
AP +10
Def +3
Fatigue -10
+4 Str, +8 Dex, +6 Cun
Stun/Freeze +30%
Knockback +30%
Life +93
Activate for Blinding Speed +27% for 5 turns
now my accuracy is up to 71, still not sure I can take on one of those orc bosses with like 85 defense, but getting closer

edit: as an aside, got my accuracy up to 87, but realized I didn't really need it since the boss I had in mind I discovered had a base def in the 50's or so and was using spin to get it up so high. tactics took her down easily the 2nd try.

but the main point of this edit is I just found a randart dagger to replace my Orc Feller.

Code: Select all

base power: 55-71.5
armor pen +14
phys crit +10%
on hit +49 temporal
when wielded:
acc +15
+5 str / +6 dex
11 temporal when wearer is hit
+18% blight / +14% temporal resist
+15% physical damage
+2.6 stamina when hit
now that's a nice off-hand weapon!

Excellent merchant buy as a skeleton bulwark that focused on unarmed combat. (although Haymaker is useless). High attack speed allowed me to keep Healing Nexus and Set Up active consistently in long fights. Second Wind was nice, but unnecessary for my Stamina.

drakeskin leather gloves 'Lustrevenom' (0 def, 3 armour) (Nightmares)
Type: armor / hands

When wielded/worn:
Armour: +3
Changes stats: +10 Dex
Damage when the wearer hits(melee): 6 light
Changes resistances: +9% nature / +18% light
Changes damage: +6% light
Critical mult.: +33.00%
Physical save: +10
Spell save: +10
Mental save: +10
Pinning immunity: +25%
Stun/Freeze immunity: +25%
Knockback immunity: +25%
Life regen: +2.00
Stamina each turn: +1.30
Mana each turn: +0.40

When used to modify unarmed attacks:
Base power: 38.5 - 42.4
Uses stats: 40% Dex, 40% Str, 40% Cun
Damage type: Physical
Armour Penetration: +3
Physical crit. chance: +23.0%
Attack speed: 60%
When this weapon hits: Haymaker (10% chance level 1).
When this weapon hits: Second Wind (10% chance level 1).
When this weapon hits: Healing Nexus (10% chance level 1).
When this weapon hits: Set Up (10% chance level 1).
Damage when this weapon hits: +21 physical

Found this on my yeek bulwark:

Arthuhek (a voratun platemail)

When wielded/worn:
Armor penetration +26
Physical crit chance +16%
Armor: -1
Defense: +37

Fatigue +26%
Changes reistances: +30% acid
Silence immunity: +15%
Pinning immunity: +20%
Knockback immunity: +25%
Maximum life: -133.00
It can be used to activate talent Second Wind (costing 160 power out of 160/160):
Effective talent level 13.0, restores 176 stamina.
<Ferret> The Spellblaze was like a nuclear disaster apparently: ammo became the "real" currency.

Changes resistances: +9% arcane
Changes damage: +25% arcane / +6% Fire / +10% blight / +4% darkness

Isn't it slightly overpriced?

Hmm I've spoken of this staff before on chat, it was gotten from the lost merchant on b34 using an absurd amount of patience and threads of fate scumming (which has been fixed as an exploit).

I doubt there are any magic items that'll ever rival it for Paradox Mages, or probably mages in general.

Omnipotence

+3 Physical Power
+8 Wil/+9 Mag
Changes Damage +4% physical, +28% Temporal
Stamina per turn +.8
Mana each turn +.38
Maximum Life +10
Maximimum Mana +89
+86 Spellpower
Spell Crit Chance + 5%

Activate for Metaflow power 80/80
Reset the cooldown of 5 of your abilities of tier 3 or less.

Regardless, it was part of a statement I made once upon a time that the randart generator ought not be able to create things like this to begin with :D

Found from the entrance boss in Grushnak. Too bad my Wyrmic was going sword and board instead of twohander. (27 STR!!!, 52% phys damage!!!) I think it might be a triple "rage" weapon, because it shows up as "voratun, rage" on the inventory screen.

Code: Select all

Baragorn the voratun greatsword (61.5-98.4 power, 4 apr)
   Type: weapon / greatsword ; tier 5
It must be held with both hands.

Base power: 61.5 - 98.4
Uses stat: 120% Str
Damage type: Physical
Armour Penetration: +4
Physical crit. chance: +5.0%
Attack speed: 100%
Burst (radius 1) on hit: +4 mind
When wielded/worn:
Accuracy: +44
Changes stats: +27 Str
Damage when the wearer hits(melee): 2 mind
Damage when the wearer is hit: 4 mind
Changes resistances: +6% mind
Changes damage: +52% physical / +6% mind
Stamina when hit: +9.00

This randart (discovered in Dreadfell, IIRC) isn't so much grotesquely powerful as some of those posted, but rather just plain cool. I'm sure it won't be difficult to find use for a charm that lets one ignore the damage from up to 6 physical (or mind/darkness) attacks in sequence while enabling you to punch things with your mind :)
Halokath the Prismfist [power 252] (6 cooldown)
Infused by psionic forces
2.00 Encumbrance.

Type: charm / torque ; tier 5

When wielded/worn:
Changes resistances: +9% fire / +9% light
Maximum wards: +6 physical / +5 mind / +6 darkness
Talent cooldown: Telekinetic Blast (+5 turn)
Talents granted: +3 Telekinetic Blast +2 Ward
It can be used to fire a blast of psionic energies in a beam (dam 126-252), placing all other charms into a 6 cooldown.

Torques are made by powerful psionics to store psionic powers.

Code: Select all

Aeromirenne the Plaguepython
Requires:
- Dexterity 48
- Talent Shoot

Crafted by a master
4.00 Encumbrance.

Type: weapon / longbow ; tier 5
It must be held with both hands.

Attack speed: 80%
Firing range: +10
When wielded/worn:
Changes stats: +8 Dex
Damage when the wearer is hit: 4 nature
Changes resistances: +5% arcane / +3% fire / +3% darkness / +3% temporal
Changes resistances penetration: +17% physical
Changes damage: +64% physical / +3% nature
Talents cooldown: Volley of Arrows (-4 turns)
Steady Shot (-2 turns) Pinning Shot (-2 turns)

Longbows are used to shoot arrows at your foes.
+64% physical damage on an archer seems to be pretty good.

Working with this on my latest:

Code: Select all

Voratun Greatmaul, 65-98
90% attack speed
Cripples on crit
+10 acc, +6 dex, +4 AP (blah blah blah)
8 slime, 8 mind, 8 nature on hit
+31% crit chance
So not only is it fast, it slows on every hit and cripples on every crit. Given that crit chance, almost always. If they survive the first flurry, the targets are working at less than half speed.

The best thing is that I found it in the Dark Crypt at level 24. Almost didn't go in, because the treasure has never previously been worth the risk. Now I've switched over almost completely to +crit rate, +crit mult (along with two different +25% penetrate physical randarts).

Merchant randart. Possibly the single best randart I've seen in all these runs(though my Sun Paladin got a shield I consider only marginally worse.).

Code: Select all

a) voratun shield 'Airtitan' (12 def, 3 armour, 81 dam, 213.5 block)

Talent granted: +5 Block

Dropped by Emelawyn the gigantic corrosive tunneler
And this is probably the best dropped randart I've gotten, or very far up there-the secondary effects aren't that special, but check out how good of a weapon it is. Pretty good luck on that Stone Warden...
