There's no forum for te4.org website requests/suggestions, but I figure this is close when it's ToME 4 addon related. So, here's two.
First, addon tag editing. When a user edits their addon it pulls the name, description, etc. and lets them edit those, but the tags field is left blank. Any tags put into that field are added to the list and can never be removed. The tags could be easily changed or removed if the field were to be populated with the current tags list. When any changes were applied, the tags could be replaced completely, just like the other fields.
Second, a download counter. Files posted to the forums show how many times they've been downloaded. I use this number to help determine if I should spend time improving an addon or just let it die. It's a useful indicator of interest and popularity. A download count for the main site's addons would accomplish much the same.
Please?

Re: Website addon management
I've been bringing up the first thing in chat for a long while. Also, if you click on a tag, it won't list all addons sharing it but only the one you were checking, I think.
A download counter would be very useful too, but I think searching in the vault for characters using that addon(and maybe specifically races/classes from it, if possible)might more informative.

Re: Website addon management
No, it absolutely wouldn't. Some people play more often than others, skewing the downloads:characters ratio, and some (me) don't play online at all.Zonk wrote:A download counter would be very useful too, but I think searching in the vault for characters using that addon(and maybe specifically races/classes from it, if possible)might more informative.
