The ring of the dead is somewhat special, reread and reinterpret the flavor text.

There's a staff of the Archlich.sofocles wrote: any other items worth mentioning?

And unlike the mentioned Ring of the Dead, this one actually does suck..atan59 wrote:There's a staff of the Archlich.sofocles wrote: any other items worth mentioning?
The Heart of Celia is also a guarantied necro artifact. I cannot comment on it's usefulness as I never actually bothered to get it.
Re: a question: lich/necromancer specific items?
The ring gives an extra life as long as you die wearing it. Celia's Heart gives 1 soul per use, but the cooldown/cost keeps increasing. It sucks.

I take offense at claims of the staff sucking!

Oops. I must have had a major memory fail when I wrote that; re-checked the staff and it is certainly one of the best necro staffs there is. Would you accept my sincerest apologies for that stupid comment?PureQuestion wrote:I take offense at claims of the staff sucking!

Re: a question: lich/necromancer specific items?
I know this is an old thread but the Crown and Bindings of Eternal Night, when worn together, make for nice necro items as you get Retch (useful for healing minions) and Abyssal Cloud which works off darkness damage.
Re: a question: lich/necromancer specific items?
The Crown and Bindings of Eternal Night are nice, particularly for a necromancer, but not uniquely so. Since they make you undead, they can also be useful for any mage-type for self-healing and damaging of non-undead enemies.
The Staff of the Archlich also pairs with a Ring of the Archlich, forming a pretty nice set for any late-game necromancer.
