Newbie question: What is this (ss inside)?
What is the small white pillar in the screenshot? Autoexplore always stops there and tells me it is interessting terrain but I don't know what to make of it.

I don't play with the shockbolt tileset, but I would guess that it's a glimmerstone. Those give you a temporary buff that lets you daze with your next melee attack.
Re: Newbie question: What is this (ss inside)?
Yeah, that looks like a glimmerstone. You can hover your pointer over it to get more information.
Re: Newbie question: What is this (ss inside)?
Hovering the mouse over it actually does nothing. The tile is unlabelled for some reason.

Huh. That's odd. I know what it is and I'm pretty sure I didn't learn it from the forum. I wonder why I know this one.

Edit: Ah, the log. It tells you that the glimmerstone affects you.

Thanks everyone. I guess I need to start paying more attention to the message log.

Wow, learn something new every day. I always avoided these thinking they were traps.

Keep in mind that everything is affected by them. You could end up dazed yourself.overgoat wrote:Wow, learn something new every day. I always avoided these thinking they were traps.

It also gives you the effect as a buff, and you can learn what it is by hovering over the buff.

Has this been reported as a bug?wobbly wrote:Hovering the mouse over it actually does nothing. The tile is unlabelled for some reason.
