Buff Rak'shor's summons

#1 Post by supermini »

The grand necromancer of the pride has a feeble summoning ability. Considering that he has a damn prodigy for it (blighted summoning) and that he's supposedly the toughest necro of them all, he really should have the full entourage of minions.

While some part of me sorta recoils in horror at Rak'shor Pride getting buffed in general, I do support this idea.

I agree that the pride is difficult enough, it's just that the boss fight is anti-climactic in comparison.

Why not buff the boss, but also put him inside a building (maybe with a few minions) so that the player can choose when to fight him, rather than having to face a buffed boss at the same time as the rest of Rak'shor's horrors?

You can run inside a building yourself, if you prefer to fight in there. It's probably a good idea in Rak'shor, if you have a way to escape when you get surrounded.

Mini-vaults (or full fledged ones) for the orc pride leaders doesn't sound like a bad idea, though.

Outside of the fact that DG would probably take it as a cue to make them even more vicious than the starting mini-vault thing on those levels.

And then the orc pride bosses became more dangerous than the final boss, and everyone cursed this thread for eternity.

"This door is locked. You can feel someone hammering on it from the other side, and hear shouts of "let me out, you mutinous bastards!" and "Grushnak, I'll get you for this!" Would you like to open the door?"

Except for the Rotting Titan who does not understand the concept of doors. Or walls, for that matter.
