Problem launching 1.0.0
Hi,
I downloaded the file, extracted it and launched t-engine exe. The game does not start, or to be more precise, it starts but then freezes. I can hear the music but can't interact with graphical UI.
OS is windows 7
Anybody can help with this?

Re: Problem launching 1.0.0
I can't run it on Windows 7 either. I can't even hear the music. After executing t-engine.exe, the process runs for a couple of seconds and then finishes with no message, even running from console and even running with --flush-stdout.

Re: Problem launching 1.0.0
Try this :
In the ...\T-Engine\4.0\settings\ directory open the file named resolution.cfg and change :
window.size = whatever
into
window.size = "800x600"
Save the changes then launch the game.
Then you can change the resolution to one that fits you better in the options.

Re: Problem launching 1.0.0
Same here. After extract files, doubleklick t-engine.exe game doesnt start. Only windows error reporting, no sound, no menu just "send report".

Re: Problem launching 1.0.0
I've tried on linux (debian) and still doesn't work... Could it be hardware\bios problem ?

Anyone could help with this ? I really want to play this game ...
Re: Problem launching 1.0.0
Hello guys , i had the same problem, i wasn't able to register at the forums , so i decided to go on the irc channel to search for help... i had the same thing.. start the game , game loads , freezes - not responding. make a shortcut to T-engine.exe and in the Target row add : --safe-mode - Enjoy... it should help if you have the same problem i did... so yeah...
Re: Problem launching 1.0.0
Doesn't work...im just gonna accept that i will never be able to run this game
Re: Problem launching 1.0.0
Just out of curiosity, is everyone who has this problem using a non-English locale? (I noticed that Korb's error message isn't English.)

I think there is a clue...Korb wrote:I've tried on linux (debian) and still doesn't work... Could it be hardware\bios problem ?

Re: Problem launching 1.0.0
I am also having an issue with my system and the game. I will sometimes lock up prior to menu in the intro screen or get to the menu and it is not viewable.
With this current setup I can play up to Beta 31.
I also noticed beta 32 is when the addon folder came into the game. This is just an observation. But again this is just for the stock driver in my system.
With my better 3rd party drivers, ati_omega_xp2k_48442, the situation is even worse. I can't even play the betas the stock can play.
I am currently running a older system:

Re: Problem launching 1.0.0
I experience "Not responding" during game play late in game - in the east. Doing far portals, lvl 46. Getting unplayable...
Playing brawler, often up to 10 boosts active.
Starts to go slow - and finally freezes. Tends to occur with many monsters.
OS: Win7 64bit.
1920x1138 windowed.
All "gfx stuffed" turned off/down. No sound.
The further I go - more often freeze occur...

Re: Problem launching 1.0.0
seems like Win 7 is the problem for whatever reason.. for me the game runs fine on Windows Vista... well it didn't at first but apparently my video card doesn't like the OpenGL sharders thing... once i set it to False in the T-Engine settings folder everything runs fine.So unless someone figures out what's causing your problem or how to fix it you'll just have to "suffer" for a while like i did untill i ( with help from others ) figured out how to set my game up without problems... my advice would be to go to the mirc channel and talk to people there... since people are more active there than in here ( i mean at least this section of the forum...) so that's the best bet for you, right now, to get some help...i think at least
