Allow for Mindstar Mastery training at Zigur
Please allow for Mindstar mastery training at Zigur, either at the cost of money, arcane powered items, doing a quest, or doing a jig in real life, videotaping it, and sending it to DarkGod. I'm really sick of scumming for Alchemists with my wilders

Re: Allow for Mindstar Mastery training at Zigur
Or just give Wyrmics a locked Mindstar Mastery.
My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.

Re: Allow for Mindstar Mastery training at Zigur
I'd really like to see this too. It would make creating a unusual mindstar based character much easier.
Re: Allow for Mindstar Mastery training at Zigur
Giving Wyrmics the unlock isn't enough, cause there are other classes that could potentially want it.. mindslayers, solipsist, etc.
Other escort rewards are nice, but this one is a totally different playstyle and shouldn't be luck dependent.

Re: Allow for Mindstar Mastery training at Zigur
Mindstar mastery is a nature category though, and Summoners start with it.

Yeah, it'd be nice to see this implemented somehow. Not that I'd be thrilled to do this, but I would even pay stat points (like losing 5-10 Wil permanently or something) just to guarantee access to this tree.

Yes please!
Re: Allow for Mindstar Mastery training at Zigur
I like the jig idea.
Seriously, would not mind seeing locked generic categories-especially Staff Combat and Mindstar Mastery-be teachable for an extremely exorbitant fee (1000 or so.), and at the same 0.8 as the escort categories. Many categories are more upgrade in nature, and shouldn't be taught just anywhere/should require the Prodigy point to get reliably... but those two enable interesting playstyles.
Tarelion could teach Staff Combat, and Myssil could teach Mindstar Mastery. This would certainly explain the high cost.
Edit: Actually, thinking on it, I wouldn't mind seeing escort type skill/stat rewards available for really high costs in general.
Which one's better: One merchant randart, or four escort rewards, minus the categories? Money is a very linear decision-buy randart, choose type-right now, past a point. It would be interesting to give people the option of training up stats permanently or gaining escort only skills permanently for large sums.
All you'd really have to do is allow people places to buy escort rewards, minus the categories(Which, as a general rule, are too centralizing to be worth just cash-Mindstar and Staff are exceptional. I like them costing a Prodigy instead.).
Edit 2: Wait, I don't think there's anything in the mechanics that would prevent you from just unlearning skills you bought, for Generic.
Never mind, I guess.
Though it could still work, as long as it checks to make sure you don't actually know the category, I guess.

support +1
I am really not a fan of escort rewards at all, and gold needs more uses.

+1 support the mindstar rogues
Re: Allow for Mindstar Mastery training at Zigur
Nah Myssy gives out fungus already and she doesn't appear to use mindstars. Maybe a different npc?
If we can buy Combat Training, it wouldn't be a stretch to allow the purchase of other weapon style categories.
We could also include the option of buying Archery-Bow and Archery-Sling as well.
Could limit it to only allow the purchase of one weapon style category (unless purchased with the prodigy).

Note that archery-bow and archery-sling, as well as unarmed mastery, are currently all class skills, and DG has been very clear that he does'nt want these to be learned in-game. I for one wouldn't mind ALL masteries (the specific talents, not all of the skill trees) moved to generics, and be learnable by some means. Would give a lot of flexibility to building out of the box characters.

Re: Allow for Mindstar Mastery training at Zigur
Moving Sling and Bow Mastery trees to Generic would produce extreme Generic constraints for Archer, without any corresponding use for Class points. They become perilously close to running out of any use for Class points at all, unless they unlock a category for it, IIRC.
I'm not saying this is a bad idea, but Archer would need a lot of restructuring and new skills. Moving the Sling/Archery skills to the same tree and moving those over into Generic with two new skills, and then adding two new skills to the old Class tree, would be the simplest way to do this, but it does make for a strange looking Generic tree...
IIRC there's not much reason you can't move Unarmed Mastery to Generic, though. It could be universal if it wasn't for the Combo Point related skill in it, very easily-just changing that or swapping it with another skill in another Brawler unique class would be easy.
