Astral Bindings Brawler Clone Bug
When using Crystle's Astral Bindings on a brawler, it does 100% void damage and has an 8% chance to proc shadow simulacrum. While frozen by wrathroot, i decided to punch my way out of the ice (as usual) and when the simulacrum procced it created a clone of myself that was frozen. This clone was friendly to me and it was even possible to thaw it out and have it fight wrathroot. Seems that the game decides to clone myself if i hit my own iceblock.

Interesting... can you hit yourself normally and trip it when not frozen too? This is almost too clever to be a bug...
(Hit m, choose the 'attack talent' then target yourself with it)

Presumably you hit yourself with shadow simulacrum. Since Shadow Simulacrum is friendly to the user, it would be on your side.
Presumably this works with the original spell, as well.

I believe I recall hearing that, yes, it works with the base spell.
However, due to quirks of Frozen status mechanics, it only actually works if you're frozen. Basically you count as an enemy to yourself while frozen. This is why your allies attack you, mechanics-wise. Simulacrum only hits enemies.
It's sorta weird.
