To learn new spells, as you gain levels, you must go to the master of your order (a guild) and he will teach you new spells, as you are more competent to handle more powerful spells. As you use the spells you know more, the better they will become. If spells are neglected, you have a chance of increased failure and decrease in power - and possibly --forget-- those spells...

But you also have the ability, if a certain char. level, to gain them from Gandalf and friends as mentioned before...

...OR Staffs that can contain *all* or most spells? Different types of staffs in general?


Well, here we go again, from Alchemy to Wizards. Another Ideas topic - the New Magic Sytem proposals? It just makes gaining info harder because subjects you are interested in may be hidden in a post subject you really have no interest in....

And again I will say that we're losing the focus of this thread. The origional idea was on a magical pouch for Alchemists to hold essences in. I can see other pouches used for holding potion and such, but this has nothing to do with the magic system and how it can be improved. Could we please stay on-topic, because I really want to know what your opinion is on this.

Look, Xandor - I hate to say this, but I think your idea is going to go to nothing, since alchemy in 3.0.0 will be extensively modified.

It doesn't have to go to nothing. That's what modules are for. :-)
