Reminder to wear Cloak of Deception when entering worldmap
Because seriously, accidentally getting attacked by patrols or stumbling into town and having everyone angry is not really fun. Playing undead sometimes puts me on edge because I'm wondering "Hey, did I switch my cloak yet?".

You know, it would be really, really nice if the Cloak of Deception just was auto-equipped when you hit the world map, if you have it.
It would save a lot of forgetfulness problems, while still leaving its theme and mechanics basically in.

How about spending ~20 fortress energy for a carried hologram device based on whatever technology's used to display the butler?

Or just make the cloak an Orb of deception to begin with., The orb of identification and Transmo chest have already been dropped in to the start for convenience, the cloak of inconvenience may as well follow suit

Yes, please. The less time I have to spend not playing the game when I'm playing the game, the better.

I say go with the orb idea, yeah. The cloak of deception is too fiddly -- it doesn't feel like the way ToME usually does things. I like the game to be dependent on actual tactical decisions, not on mindless repetition of tactical-no-brainer equipment swaps.
(That is, it's a tactical no-brainer to always swap the Cloak of Deception for something better in a combat zone, and swap back when leaving. Making the player remember to repeatedly perform a no-brainer action goes against ToME's design philosophy, I think; ideally, the player's input should be reserved as much as possible for decisions that actually matter.)

Latest SVN allows the cloak to be made a permanent effect for 10 fortress energy
